Does what it needs to.
- Pros: Not bad. It holds my dvd burner since I bought a laptop and I pulled my burner out of my old desktop. I like that it has a fan to keep it cool.
- Cons: None really.
- Other Thoughts: It's a cheap enclosure that does what it is meant to do.
worked as advertised
- Pros: worked under windows xp and Netbsd/i386 4.0RC1 on a dell sc430. (umass and cd1. I've used it more under NetBSD.
- Cons: took some figuring to determine the best way to get it together and ended up having to take it apart and put it together a few times before I got everything in properly. Some of the interior screws seem cheapish, though they're all enclosed in covers so not likely to fall out and get lost.
- Other Thoughts: I just tried a dual layer dvd burner. With cdrecord, I was able to only get 26x on a 40x burner, though that may be expected; I didn't do the math on usb 2.0 throughput.
