Pros: Very quiet, could not hear a things from this PSU, like not on.

Cons: none, only have too much wire to put away.

Other Thoughts: buy it.

4 out of 5 eggsEfficient and well made

Pros: Physically well made. Cables are all sleeved and very professional looking. Power is stable and runs AMD X2-5600, 4-SATA Drives, 2-DVDRW Drives, ASUS M2N-SLI-Deluxe, 1-GeForce 7600GT without issue at a max AC draw of 220W (according to Kill-a-watt).

Cons: The fan is not regulating it's speed and is running fast and noisy. Submitted RMA to NewEgg for replacement.

Other Thoughts: An abundance of cables and connectors. If you have a smallish case it may be too many to fit well.

4 out of 5 eggsUK PLUG AND CORD???

Pros: This PSU provides good voltage regulation, has a automatic fan control, has auto detection for input volts (no switch to worry about) has plenty of conections, and a nice mirror finish.

Cons: The unit I got came with a UK plug cord. Not sure how that will help me in the US. Good thing I had an extra cord lying around.

Other Thoughts: If it weren't for the UK power cord I would rate this unit higer. Even the box has a check mark for "US" model. Interesting quality control there.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Quiet (I believe some of the reviewers have either received defective units, or they are running their rigs in warm environments), efficient, SLI ready, neatly wrapped cables, plenty of plugs.

Cons: None...I got exactly what I paid for...I didn't pay for Modular, so why should I (or other reviewers) complain that it isn't a modular PSU?!?

Other Thoughts: I've had two Thermaltake Silent Purepower PSU's before...they've been awesome...this one's just as good, if not better. I'm happy to have found an alternative brand for PSU's!

5 out of 5 eggsWinner!

Pros: I have built 3 systems with this PSU and am greatly pleased with it. Notice this is rated as 500W continuous power....that means all day, everyday - not max output as many companies are advertising. Triple 12V rails mean latest rigs with lots of 12V demands will have plenty of juice to spread around. Its rated at 85% efficiency for a 250W load (a very typical gaming load for a single vga setup) which is waaay less heat dissipated than a lot of comparable units with 70-75% efficiency. Cabling is all sleeved, which is nice. The primary wiring on this unit actually has some innovation to it (read around on some sites that offer engineering based reviews for details)that makes for a VERY smooth current going to feed your components. Unless you are trying to run dual 8800GTX's or a multi-processor server board, this unit has all the power you will ever need! With a whopping 400k hrs mtbf and 3 yr manufacturer's warrany, how can you go wrong?

Cons: Only one for you picky aesthic types - the cable sleeving ends just before the adaptor plugs and just before it enters the housing, not a uniform, clean look: seems like cables could have been fully sleeved without creating any problems and little additional cost.

Other Thoughts: The 120mm fan is on a thermostatic speed control, so unless your rig doubles as a space heater, the fan stays slow enough to be whisper quiet even at max gaming loads.

5 out of 5 eggsGood; now too pricey

Pros: Physically solid, lots of cables, nice appearance, nice specs.

Cons: Not modular, too pricey right now. I paid less several months ago.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy this again for the price they're currently asking. If you can get it at a mid-range price, it's a good option.

Pros: Nice and shiny right out of the box. Works perfectly and all cables and hardware good quality.

Cons: If you have the money go modular Thermaltake Purepower or COOLMAX CUG-600B...

Other Thoughts: Dual Intel D's 2.8 smithfield
2 g Crucial pc4200
nVidia 7900gs

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: As far as power goes it does a really good job.Has all the cable connections you could possibly use.

Cons: Had to add entension to ide power plug to reach bottom of my Abit AN8 32x board in a Cooler Master mid case with a 1900 Ati all in wonder video card. The cooling fan is noisey sounds like it is knocking . Would not buy another one.
