HiPro brings you this little workhorse of a power supply at a very reasonable price. Operating at 70% efficiency, it has short-circuit protection on all DC outputs, and over-voltage protection keeps your motherboard safe from runaway outputs. Two separate +12V rails provide for clean power and ease of regulation, and greater than 100,000 hours Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) mean great reliability.
They don't stint on connectors, either: a 20+4 ATX connector, a floppy supply, a PCI-E connection, two SATA connections, and eight peripherals. A 120mm fan helps you and your power supply keep your cool.
Now, I can't tell you this is the supply for you; you'll have to make that call yourself. But after you've done your homework and made your decision, we'll be right here waiting for you.

I got this Feb 2006
- Pros: still going very strong after more than a year
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Running a GF6600 - Athlon 64 - 4 IDE drives - 4 SCSI drives - and a patridge in a pear tree.... my computer never shuts off and has been on since the day i got this from UPS. This is my personal computer and i do everything on it. I wouldnt hesitate to buy this power supply again, my power requirements are strong, concidering the scsi drives are all 10k RPM. I do not have any power management enabled. Great PSU.....
Cheap quiet, and not built for a64
- Pros: The price what can you do... its uber cheap for a dual rail with 24 pin connector PCIE connector, and QUIET 120MM fan.
First PSU that I have owned that read in BIOS at even volts (12v was 12 volt, 3.3 was 3.3 and 5 volt was 4.9.
- Cons: Put it in my system to replace a single rail 22AMP 12v PSU... it ran great for 10-15 minutes then it went goofy then POW!
I thought the PSU was dead as was making preperations to RMA. (Which newegg does not cover and HIPRO ignores BTW).
So 14 or 15 amps depending on the rail is NOT enough to power an athlon 4000. Since there is no way I will get my money back for this I intend to use it as a learning experience and tear it apart and create something good out of it :)
- Other Thoughts: IF the mod goes well it would be a good deal. I shudder to think what would have happenned if I had a video card that would actually need the PSIE connector... more then one harddrive OR I had conncted my 5 inch 115CFM fan up. PSUs and mobo should not be skimped on.

Works great
- Pros: Nice black finish. Good stable power.
- Cons: No power cord came with it.
- Pros: Good price.
- Cons: First one blew within three weeks. RMA approved, hopefully this one will last.
Snap crackle & pop!
- Pros: Price. Lots of connectors. Quiet. (until it blows up)
- Cons: We bought 6 of these about 6 months ago. So far, 2 have literally snap crackled popped and died. I've faxed the RMA form to HIPRO three times with no reply. Very poor service.
- Other Thoughts: I'm really shocked that New Egg is still selling these and more folks haven't had more trouble.
