Short life
- Pros: Cheap, quiet.
- Cons: Doesn't work after 2 years
- Other Thoughts: Power supply will randomly shut down and requires switching the voltage selector to turn it back on. Started giving problems about 1 year into life
- Pros: Good for the money I guess...
- Cons: After ~1 year two of the caps leaked which resulted in random reboots for about a week and then in total failure to POST.
- Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for, could be a good interim power supply until you can afford better.
Don't overdraw
- Pros: It works flawlessly, voltages are good, and quite stable. Variable speed fan for cooling is a nice touch, as it cuts down on noise.
- Cons: It tends to get a little hot, and I noticed that there are fluctuations when you approach the power rating of the unit. It also emits a high-pitched buzz if you over-draw the unit.
- Other Thoughts: Mine worked fine, until two days ago, when it died and won't work any more. I did calculate the usage, and I was way overdriving it, and didn't even know it for months. So, the advertized power rating for the thing is actually worse than what I was getting for performance. It's a steal if you don't have a super-charged system
