3 out of 5 eggssoldering defect

Pros: works good on a Athlon dual core 6000+ 125w, 8800gts 640mb. And other computer is intel.
still going strong.

Cons: Has a major soldering joint flaw. I have had 2 of these power supplies stop working after about 1.5 years. There is a big resistor inside that breaks loose and I have to scrape the board really good and re-solder. now both have been going strong ever since.

Other Thoughts: Manufacture needs to solder boards better

5 out of 5 eggs5 years of dependable power

Pros: Does its thing. Stays quiet. Has all the connectors I need.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought this along with the rest of the parts for the rig I put together in April 2007. It unfortunately went out just last night. But I realized that this was the only part of my rig that I hadn't upgraded since 2007. So it lasted nearly 5 years. Not so bad for a piece of computer hardware, that's for sure. Beautiful PSU.

2 out of 5 eggsOK........but it blew up.

Pros: it worked fine for about a year......

Cons: multi colored lights out of the back didn't care for that but i'm over 30.... almost could not fit it inside the case i had at the time........ and it blew up after about 1.5yrs or so, this was a while ago so not exactly sure....... i remember thinking I had just passed the warranty on it..........PC was on an APC backups the entire time.

Other Thoughts: Buy another brand, this is not sold anymore as of this writing, i won't be buying a Xion brand again thou. Check out the top sellers get a brand name you know. more $ doesn't always = better PS.

I can accept 4 or 5 yrs and failing but was not happy at all to get under 2yrs on a product that was fairly expensive at the time of purchase.

2 out of 5 eggsLoud, Wouldn't Recommend This PSU

Pros: It works as a product, I've had it since 4/2007. See Cons.

Cons: Loud, LED lights can be annoying, Xion didn't mail out my rebate, had to contact them a year after purchase with my receipts before they sent it out.

1 out of 5 eggsScam rebate BEWARE!!

Pros: It works fine.

Cons: Received power supply Thursday July 5 & sent in rebate postmarked July 6. Rebate stated "allow 8-12 weeks after claimed is received by fulfillment company to receive your rebate." After waiting 154 days (22 weeks) I emailed Xion. Then I had to wait another 3 days (December 11) for an email stating the rebate check was sent out. Finally! on December 14 I received the check DATED JULY 11 2007. Why was the check DATED July 11 but mailed on December 11??

Other Thoughts: Read the reviews for Xion products for rebate problems & do a search too. Newegg is a GREAT company but, Xion seems to be running a rebate scam. AVOID Xion if you plan on getting a rebate. I will continue to shop at Newegg because Newegg ROCKS!

2 out of 5 eggsthis sucks

Pros: good power for the first 6 months. called company to get RMA for them to fix it (as it is still under warantty) and was told newegg would fix it. that is not neweggs job.

Cons: still cant beleive this thing quit in 6 months running athlon 64 FX60 @2.8ghz, 2GB dr500, 2x 7900GS Xtreme (XFX 525/1550)in SLI mode, 3 cd-rw, 1-dvdrw 2 sata drives.
the power supply should not all of the sudden decide to quit liek this at all.

Other Thoughts: i will never buy this brand again, replaced with 650watt cooler master ultra silent, wich oddly, can ouput 780watts for short times.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

Pros: Used this to replace a PSU that came with a case for a computer i built for a friend. He had random crashes after adding a video card. Replaced the stock PSU with this and he hasn't had problems since.

Cons: 2nd PSU unit i've ordered and both times XION would not send the rebate until i contacted them. This last time it only took them a week after i resubmitted everything to them in an email. If we can get our money back that fast via email - why do they torture us making us go through snail mail and never contacting us? They lose an egg for conducting business like this.

Other Thoughts: Solid power supply for the money. I've been running my XION for 3-4 years almost non-stop 24/7 the entire time. Other than the fact XION gives me a headache with their rebates - the PSUs have been good to me.

1 out of 5 eggsIf it works, it's fine...

Pros: It worked well for about a month...

Cons: After that initial month, I noticed things started to go wrong when the fan would not work correctly. No matter what I did, the fan would not turn on. A few days later it worked, only to stop again and ever come on, even when my pc got too hot. I had to take off the side panel to keep it from overheating, but i made sure it was in a safe place and that nothing would touch it. A few months later, this PSU stopped working all together. I had to take it out and put in an old psu, which is how I'm on right now.

Other Thoughts: If you don't get a defective one I hear they work well. Also, the customer service is terrible. I emailed them about a month ago and they haven't sent me a message back. I plan on getting a replacement, and hope that it works this time.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh PSU

Pros: Its able to power my system

Cons: From day 1 the fan on the PSU has made horrible noise. Occasionally the sound will go away but if i just barely move my case it comes back. The noise from the PSU sounds like the fan is going to fall off.

Other Thoughts: Does the trick but I don't think it will last a long time.
