The Enermax Noisetaker II PSU is designed to sit squarely on the juxtaposition of power and noise level. To keep things quiet there are two 80mm fans that work in concert for superior airflow. Fan speed can be controlled by a knob on the back of the PSU so you can set it where you want it. However there is a temperature override switch that will boost fan speed if the PSU gets too hot. The fans also run after you power down to quickly cool things down.

Dual +12V rails ensure a balanced power output for your system no matter what the load. Dual 6-pin PCIe connectors support both mainstream and performance cards drawing up to 150W. Six SATA connectors let you set up massive drive arrays and make sure you have enough connectors to power SATA optical drives.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I like the fact that it supports 115V and 230V (I could take it to Europe). Also it has manual speed control.

Cons: cant think of any

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PS. Leads aren't as long as desired

Pros: It is a quality product. It does it's job and I have zero complaints.

Cons: I said I had zero complaints.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend getting an extension cable if you use it with a P18x case. I used this with a P180 and just barely got it to fit, but it does fit. With the P182 it will not fit. Either that or perhaps there is a slight difference in cable length for each PS. I absolutely had to get a 24-pin extension cable. I highly recommend getting one regardless. Will save you a lot of headaches and/or frustration.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: I got this power supply to power my 8800GT, it powers it no problem. powers my whole system without a hitch, also it has a beautiful paint job, it even smelled like fresh paint when i took it out of the job. powers my system as follows, Asus M2N-SLI deluxe mobo, amd 64 x2 4600+, 6 gigs DDR2 ram, 2 sata2 drives, 1 ide hdd, sony dual layer dvd burner, 3 fans, 8800GT 512 meg

Cons: the connecters for the 24 pin dont really snap together like other ones ive had, makes it a little difficult to put the 24 pin in, also with the cpu connector, but does have the ability for 4 pin and 8 pin. has to pci-e connectors, one with a 6pin that has the extra 2 pin, but still does not snap together. the 4 extra 4 pin for the cpu is kinda dangerous, make sure to tie the cables down so that it doesnt try to make some lovin with open jumpers.

Other Thoughts: great psu, has ability for SLI, but probably not enough juice for 2 8800's

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Pros: Extremely quiet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Like with most PSU's, if your case mounts the PSU at the bottom, you'll want a extension for the 4/8 pin ATX 12v power cable.

2 out of 5 eggsGood and Bad

Pros: Very Efficient, Very Stable, Solidly built.

Cons: Both fans in the PSU Failed, now it runs SUPER hot. Though it still runs.

Other Thoughts: I have always used enermax, But the last two I have purchesed have not performed as I expected. It is amazing the PSU still works with the fact it does not have any cooling, But it is causing my whole PC to overheat, only saving grace right now is it is cold outside.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied with Enermax

Pros: The variable fan speed control; the after-shutdown feature where the fan keeps running for a short period; the amps per 12V rail exceed many at this price point; the cables are plentiful, long enough, and easily manuevered.

Cons: None that I've found. The PSU is not silent by any means, but the noise level is okay with me.

Other Thoughts: Bought the PSU to complete an upgrade from on-board video to a dedicated ATI Radeon X1650Pro 512MB video card. The stock 300W PSU was not going to cut it. This ENERMAX 485W is now working GREAT for my non-SLI configuration.
This was my first purchase with Newegg, and a great overall experience....

Pros: Looks good, Average noise level.

Cons: Died after 8 months.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't buy one again. There are better PS's for the same price

5 out of 5 eggsVERY RELIABLE PS

Pros: Have 3 of these PS's. Using one of these in a server running 24/7 for 2+ years without a problem. The sever has 8 hard drives (6 of them Raptors) and 7 fans. I have replaced 2 other dead or problematic PS's in other computers with this one. I have not had any problems with any of the 3 PS's.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Very quite and relatively cool running.

Pros: Nice power supply. Efficient, quiet, cables are nicely wrapped. Lots of SATA power plugs.

Cons: A little pricer than some of the others but you usually get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: Get it. No worries.
