Good quality for price
- Pros: Good price, good quality.
- Cons: No complaints
It works
- Pros: I made a pc from spare parts for a friend, she only needed it to work. Its got enough power to run a 1.2gig AMD from 6 years ago. It is a pretty quiet supply.
- Cons: The power cord did not work.
- Other Thoughts: If your just trying to put something together its a great price. I dont know about durability I had it running for about 5 hours stright and it was fine.
So far so good...
- Pros: Great price (with rebate) for the specs (such as 20A on +12V). Comes as advertised.
As always fast service/shipping from Newegg.
- Cons: None so far, other than somewhat thin wires on the leads and light to med weight, but that's to be expected for the price.
It's only been running a week but will report back if it dies.
- Other Thoughts: Only 2 leads (as depicted). Each is about 26" long with floppy connector on the end, one molex 5" up from that, second molex 5" up from that. Seems to be a good, basic PS but probably not for a gaming machine. Louder than average fan noise (I can hear it across the room, even when my own PC is runnnig right next to me), but not objectionable unless you're picky.
I got it for our secondary PC (AthlonXP 2800+ with an ATI 9600XT, one 80GB HD, one CD drive, and one floppy) when the CD drive died and I replaced it with a CD burner. Original RaidMax 350W PS (14A on +12V) would no longer boot up the PC on any first power up. HD and fans would spin up but that was it - no "beep", BIOS screen, nothing. Do an immediate shutdown and repower up and the second time it would work. Swapped in this PS and everything now powers up fine first try. Played Battlefield 1942 for an hour and air coming out the back was luke warm to slightly warm.
Rebate was a link on the web page but has expired.
