4 out of 5 eggsLike a used car

Pros: Quiet, ample cables, powered a mid-high end game rig for 3 years with no complaints and a decent amount of use.

Cons: Died one week after warranty ran out. No warning, just flopped on me.

Other Thoughts: I cant really complain other than the timing was terrible. This ps ran great for 3 years.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but MTBF is bogus

Pros: As advertised, it was very quiet. I had it running the mobo, vid card, 3--4 HDDs, 1 legacy FDD, two DVD+/-RW drives and never seemed to have any troubles.

Cons: One night this past week my system just shut off; no storms, no brown-out but just OFF. When I tried to power back up, it just sizzled then nothing. Pulled the PSU to test alone: the fan did not start up and no voltage on any of the leads.

This was after 3.5 years with a 3 year warranty so I was out of luck. Tech support did apologize but said there was nothing to do. I pointed out it only lasted <30% of MTBF and they pretty much admitted that MTBF (for everyone) is bogus, mostly meaningless number and that when buying a PSU, look only at the warranty time.

So my next one is a MUCH cheaper model with a 3-year warranty; if warranty is the only measure for real lifetime why pay a premium?!

Other Thoughts: I'm not angry with the company, just unhappy about losing the PSU just 6 months past warranty and only 30% of MTBF lifetime. I'd buy from them again, but, based on their tech advice, I'm shopping mostly by price and warranty so this means their premium-priced PSUs are out the running.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Awesome PSU, I bought this thing back in Sep of 2006 and it is still going strong today. I am looking forward for it to power some new equipment here in the future. It currently is powering an X6800 on an Abit MB (garbage), 4GB RAM, 2x WD RE 2 HDD, Cd-Rom, 1x ATI 1900XTX and 3x Case 120mm fans.

Cons: None Yet

Other Thoughts: I've had this power supply for a long time now, lived way passed warrenty. I would buy another without a doubt!

1 out of 5 eggsI hate OCZ

Pros: Nice blue light

Cons: Lasted right before the warranty ended. RMA'ed it and they gave me one that didn't last a year with minimal use. But i've never had a good PS.

5 out of 5 eggs4 years going strong...

Pros: Quiet, nice cable management, after 4.5 years it still runs strong (knock on the wood).

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Good product. My system consumes up to 350W of power when gaming. About 230W in Windows. So yea I've been pretty kind on this PSU.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid... Unless you want to buy more than one.

Pros: Black, heavy, sleeved long cables and did not kill anything when it died.

Cons: Stopped working after minimal use (probably about 3 or 4 months total, rest of the time it was in storage, not even pugged in). Died 2 days past warranty no power at all only a sizzling sound. $129 Paperweight.

No more OCZ for me.

Other Thoughts: OCZ offered to replace it but never got back to me with a RMA (probably just to get me off the phone). Gave up, used my old $50 Enermax which suffered two years of heavy use and three upgrades (AMD 939 AthlonX2+GF7900GTO x2 SLi, AMD AM2 AthlonX2+Radeon 3870x2 & AM3+ PhenomIIX4+Radeon 3870x2 took over for the OCZ). The Enermax is still working to this day (knock on wood).

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 3 years

Pros: Lots of connections.

Cons: Did not last 4 years. Motherboard took it out (or vice versa).

Other Thoughts: I don't usually have power supplies die. Usually something else dies first.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks Great Then Dies

Pros: Lots of connections, and works like a champ for about 13 months.

Cons: Died after 13 months, now I'm dealing with the RMA process. Their site says they got it on 16 Dec, but nothing has shipped yet and its the 26th. They say its a exchange process and you don't have to wait for yours to be repaired, but now I'm with out my desktop for over 3 weeks now. Guess I'll have to purchase a power supply local!

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but...

Pros: Did everything I wanted. Has plenty of connectors including 2 PCIE's, the motherboard connectors, etc. It is also sleeved.

Cons: Almost too many cables, a con for me, not for others.

Other Thoughts: After about 2 years my computer would have random bouts of bluescreens that would last for 2-3 hours. Finally tested the PSU and the voltages were all over the place. Finally died on me 3 days ago. Just sent in a ticket and I hope I don't get shafted from the holidays because the warranty expires soon...

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry for the problem. You should not have any issues with your warranty, as long as you purchased less than 3 years ago. Your initial contact date will be considered you RMA date for warranty purposes.
Thank you
