Looking for a power supply that's cool, quiet and costs less to operate than traditional designs? With its independently-certified 80 Plus design, the Antec's EarthWatts EA430 will do all that and more. The circuitry is at least 80 percent efficient at all loads, so this energy-saving Earthwatts EA430 will save you money on your electrical bill. The 80mm low-noise fan cools the PSU quietly and helps keep your entire system chilled to perfection. And the built-in Active PFC makes the Earthwatts EA430 an ideal way to reduce electrical waste and protect the environment. Could this be your next power supply?
Pros: All Antec EarthWatts, NeoHE's, and Trios are manufactured by Seasonic, and that is what the UL (E104405) will confirm as well. The EarthWatts has 80+ efficiency from 20-100% loads, excellent voltage regulation, low ripple, and even though it claims to have dual 12V rails it's actually a single 30A 12V rail. It also comes with a 3 yr. warranty, and Antec has one of the best warranties in the business.
Cons: It's not modular and it's rather plain looking.
Other Thoughts: We can only hope that Antec continues offering high quality psu's that do not use fuhjyyu caps!

Bought one last week

Tech Level: average - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: Antec Quality. Installed easily, more than enough IDE and SATA connectors for anyone, PCI-E graphics 6-in connector included. Over 80% power efficient which I love, and I hope my electric bill does too! The 24-pin connector has wiring that is encased by a nice thick coating (looks snazzy), and there's helpful brackets that come with it for in-case organization. Quiet too!
Cons: High Price for only 430 watts
Other Thoughts: A little pricey, but its Antec quality you're paying for!
I bought this to replace an old 300 watt power supply so that I could upgrade my graphics card. I was hesitant because this is a new Antec series and doesn't have any type of track record, but I gave it a try and I have to say I'm very happy with it. Always been an Antec fan for their quality products.

A real powerhouse
Reviewed By: Device Manager on 7/31/2007
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Pros: High efficiency, low noise, solid rails, all of which is backed by a quality 3 yr. warranty.
Cons: Not all cables are sleeved.
Other Thoughts: A couple of reviews below this one, Kubel stated that the 12V rail on his unit was out of ATX spec. However he failed to mention what was used to measure the 12V rail, so unless it was a calibrated DMM it's safe to say that he was relying on software readings, which any tech/enthusiast knows is unacceptable.

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Extremely quiet.
Plenty of connections.
High efficiency rating.
Easy install.
Antec quality.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: First of all, ignore all the bad reviews that complain about the rebate troubles. Losing out on the $5-$10 rebate should not reflect on the actual product. Also, ignore those who complain that this power supply isn't modular. This is a $50 power supply with Antec quality... you get what you pay for. That's like complaining that your new Corolla doesn't have heated leather seats. I purchased this PSU to run a graphics card upgrade on a new Lenovo desktop. The card required a minimum of 300W, so I was looking for a lower wattage and efficient power supply that runs very quietly. This item fits my needs perfectly.... you can buy it with confidence.
