- Pros: Bought this back in December. Very fast. Moved up from a 3500+. Idles at 35C, which isn't bad on the stock cooler in a room that badly needs some A/C.
- Cons: With a clock speed of 2600, this means that it has an odd numbered multiplier of 13. Giving it a memory divider of 6.5 (13 divided by two), but since 6.5 can't be used as a divider, it rounds up to 7. So 2600 divided by 7 = 373 Mhz, or 743 Mhz DDR. So your memory ends up being slightly underclocked instead of running @ 800 Mhz.
- Other Thoughts: Even though the underclocked memory doesn't falter your speed, you can easily overclock to 2.8 GHz, bringing your memory back to DDR2-800. Dual-Core Optimizer and latest drivers are a must.
Nice bang for the buck
- Pros: This is a good CPU. It runs very cool and quick. Handles everyday load as well as CPU intensive gaming. Stock heatsink isn't as bad as most make it out to be but if you're going to be overclocking, I def. recommend getting a different one.
It can be overclocked to a nice extent as well.
- Cons: Other models(AMD and Intel) out there that are better for not too much more money.
- Other Thoughts: If you get this CPU, make sure to download the AMD dual core optimizer off AMD's site and make sure you install the Cool and Quiet drivers;they will make the processor run 100% more efficient. With Cool and Quiet, the optimizer, and 5 fans(havn't gone liquid yet), under heavy load this CPU hasn't gone above 40deg Celcius yet. It takes everything I throw at it and just keeps on trucking.

AWESOME CPU
- Pros: Good CPU, Runs cool, quiet, really fast
- Cons: None so far
- Pros: Flawless performance. Though I don't get the full benefits from a dual core running Windows XP Pro, I will when Vista doesn't actually suck. So in a sense, upgrading to Vista will be like getting a whole new computer since I'll be running true 64 bit. haha
- Cons: Not getting to grasp the full potential of my CPU :(
