great chip
- Pros: Wow, I was about to buy a Core2. I'm glad I chose AMD. This chip is great, and the price is GREAT. Intel may have the fastest chip, but AMD has the best price/performance ratio. You simply get more for your money with AMD. This chip just solidified that fact with me. Great chip. Cheap. Fast.
- Cons: none
Great CPU for Non-Gamer
- Pros: I used this for an office computer build for a client. The processor has performed flawlessly so far, and since it's not being used extensively, the CPU Heatsink/fan that comes with this product works just fine (and saves money on the total cost).
- Cons: The heatsink/fan came with pre-applied thermal paste. I would rather use my Arctic Silver, but I tried out the pre-applied paste and it actually performed remarkably well. The temperature for the CPU was generally below 30 C.
- Other Thoughts: The price and the value you get for the price are both amazing. This AM2 socket CPU will allow you to get a better motherboard/ram than earlier sockets. This works great for an office computer, but I personally wouldn't use this for a gaming rig.

Just fine for what it's for...
- Pros: Fast and cheap. Does all it's required from normal users.
- Cons: I couldn't get it to overclock but that was the board's limitation, not this chip. I only write it here so you know to get a board with good overclocking abilities if you plan to push this chip.
- Other Thoughts: Not everybody needs a dual-core chip. I've got a C2D Macbook and an AMD Athlon 64X2 in my media box and this chip keeps up just fine in the machine I built for my parents for xmas. All they need it for is Office and internet browsing. Upgraded them from a 4+ year old Dell Celeron -- yikes! This thing blows their old machine away. If you're not a power user or a hardcore gamer, this chip is all you need.
Still the champ
- Pros: I've bought 4 of these separately this year, and have never been disappointed. For the price you just can't beat it's computing power. Great from games to web surfing.
- Cons: I haven't been able to find any, other than 64 bit windows is expensive.
- Other Thoughts: There is just nothing out there for the price range that can beat it, except maybe an X2 dual core. Plays FEAR, Stalker, Hellgate London, EVE, and handles daily tasks without a sweat.
