Cons: None other than lack uf S754 upgradeability past a 3700+, but if you have a good OC'ing mobo you can get 2.5-2.6 out of these (with proper voltages and cooling).

Other Thoughts: I have this processor on my budget PC with an ECS 755A2/X800XT AIW. Very fast even at stock speed. I have it up to 2.35 Ghz on the SIS mobo and know it will go higher with an Nforce3 250. Never had any issues with it at all. Wirh just a switch out from an XP3200/NF2 to the bove combo i got an average of 15-25 FSP more easily, and all when running even higher settings on games. Very worth the money for a budget PC. If not budget i would go with S939.

Awesome cpu

Comments: I am an AMD fan for life and this newest upgrade to a socket 754 newcastle has just brightened my life. The funny thing is that when I recievd my proc and ran CPU bitz on it I found, to my suprise, that my core was not a newcastle but a clawhammer and instead of 512k L2 I had 1mb of L2. How sexy is that? Well, the processor is very overclockalbe, but my msi neo KT800 board does not like to overclock it at all, lol. Oh well, but hopefully I will get a new board soone and I can utilize this procs potential soon. AMD is the best.

Comments: Overclocked to 2.7 ghz even higher than FX55 and at 25% the cost! Although it might not have as much cache, etc. Anyways, what more can you ask for? This is a great chip & great overclocker.
