Excellent chip
- Comments: This is a very good chip. It is incredible at overclocking, nearly as good as the Athlon XP series. The integrated into chip FSB makes this chip considerably faster than its unintegrated sister chips. This chip is great but if you have the money buy the 3800+ San Diego, it runs cooler and has a larger L2 Cache.
Anorexic power consumption
- Comments: I wouldn't call this a powerhouse for processing, but I would say it's quite capable indeed. The greatest feature about this is the very low operating temperature. Even at full throttle in the middle of an intense game of Halo, I average 86 degrees with no exceptional heat sink. This is compared to a 3ghz Intel chip in the same case averaging 98 degrees. Very stable for overclocking on an A8V deluxe mobo. I recomend this CPU.
- Comments: I OCed mine to 2805MHz with the voltage at 1.55v. It performs better than the FX-57 in benchmarks.
This is a great processor to be paired with OCZ gold PC400 VX memory .
