- Pros: I upgraded from dual 242s to 2 of these, and WOW! I do alot of video/audio, and I have yet to find any flaw in them. Even doing a little gaming on the side doesn't phase these two. They run great on Supermicro's H8DCE...
- Cons: Not enough money to buy two 254s!
Oh, and that flaky green packaging...
- Other Thoughts: Newegg is the best--got em here quickly, cos they're the best!
Eh...
- Pros: Reasonably fast. Runs relatively cool.
- Cons: I have 2 of these sitting in a GX28 (Tyan S2881 MB) with 2Gx2 of ram. I have seen a few Athlons which beat these in several bench mark scores in this configuration. But in other areas these performed well.
- Other Thoughts: Next time, I think I am going with dual core opteron, or drop down to Athlon and save some money.
Good Proc...Two are way too fast!
- Pros: -Very Fast Processor -New 90nm core runs cool. -Supports SSE3 -Can work in pairs
- Cons: -Not free, but worth the money
- Other Thoughts: I just received my second processor. One was fast, but 2 are outragous! Each processor can do a great deal, and together it makes for a very fast server. Together they take multitasking to a new level. -Newegg, you guys rock!
