5 out of 5 eggsLaptop Gaming Dream

Pros: I have t2600 and 2 gigs RAM, along with SATA HDD and 256MB nVidia in my HP Laptop. I can run Dual screens with my flat panel monitor have opera running multiple tabs and aim on that screen and Diablo 2 LOD running off of my Laaptop screen and only be using 58% of my avaible power. Amazing little CPU here.

Cons: None so far and hopefully it will stay that way.

Other Thoughts: With 2 gigs your comp will blow others away. I have only worked with one "desktop" that has been more powerful than my laptop. Serious power if you want/need it go for the extra little bit of money it's worth it here

4 out of 5 eggsIt's not a desktop Processor

Pros: The t2600 YONAH is a laptop processor, not a desktop one.

Cons: Haven't found a cpu/system that can keep up with me.....lol. I multitask bad....I even lagged this processor and I have a gig of ram. Instant messenger running, a file sharing program, Norton's IS, Intel Pro wireless, Three browswer windows and eraser 5.8 running 2x. <my typical laptop playing>

Other Thoughts: I like my t2300 Processor, but I can't wait for newegg to advertise the new Merom Core 2 duo processors.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything you've heard is quite true

Pros: Very low power consumption
Great Gaming Performance better than an FX clock for clock
Great Encoding Performance
Dual Core Architecture
You can pair it with 533Mhz DDR2 and not loose nearly any performance

Cons: Very expensive
Only one desktop board that fully supports it.
Heavy price premium in laptop configurations.

Other Thoughts: This IS the same processor that's in the MacBook. They use T2XXX series Core processors in the MacBook Pro's. The only difference between a dell with a core duo and a Mac with a core duo is the chipset. The motherboards used in in the Mac's have a non traditional BIOS compared to PC's and therefore the motherboards are a little different. The actual North and Southbridge however is the SAME.

Laugh my off! do you even know what HT is? there is no point of it in a dual core processor... learn about things before you talk about them.

5 out of 5 eggsYes this is the same chip as in the MacBook Pro

Pros: Yes this is the same chip that is in the new MacBookPros and many Windows laptops. Check the specs, you will see that it is.

I believe the previous reviewer is thinking of the Core2 chip or Conroe which are not out yet. Those are the ones based on the "core" arch.

Still this is a great chip. Upgraded my Mac Mini with it and it run cool and fast.

Again these are the same chips/series that are in the Intel Macs.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsThats fast

Pros: This is one fast CPU for sure. I have a macbook pro and this thing blazes. i havnt booted windows on it but i assume it is goig to run at least twice as fast as my old 2Ghz intel pentium M laptop. To all of you saying the macbook pro runs hot i personaly dont think so. maybe they fixed it in the newer models (just got it a week ago) but mine only uns hot when plugged in. Of course this could be because i was used to a dell gaming laptop for a year. Anyway this is by far the best mobile chip that i have ever used (especialy in a mac) To all of you who are considering buying a Macbook Pro do it now!!!! it is worth every sent. However if you arnt willing to spend the money on good hardware than at least buy a Pc with this procesore you wont be displeased by its performance. Also this is a reall bargain for this proccesore. i used to own a AMD Fx55 gaming rig and personally i think this set up blows it away 10 fold.

Cons: No 64 bit ( i guess Merom will fix this its to bad that the macbook pro's processor is soldered to the motherboard)
Apple ddnt get sole right to them
No HT( personaly i nevver exspearenced intels hyper threading. However i heard it was good at least beder than AMD hyper transport.)

Other Thoughts: Very good CPU highly recomended. The macbook pro is also hghly recomended. O and if you do get a macbook pro buy G skill ram. it works great and its cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything you've heard is not quite true...

Pros: According to the one of the above posts, it says he has his in a Macbook. It is not the same chip as above, Intel's Mac line is not really part of the core intel archetichture. It's more of a play on words. But, this is a great processor, runs fast and is fast.

Cons: None, except could run fast.

5 out of 5 eggsT2600

Pros: awesome speed and pruductivity, now when i render video i can still IM listen to music even game in teh back ground where before i was stuck watching the render time like paint drying. awesome preformance on gameing while doing outher stuff i can run GRAW at 1200x1920 AA at 8x with 2 GB DDR2 and a Nvidia 7800 GTX over all this thing rocks.

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: may run hot in a mac book becsaue of teh inefficent cooling, i put this in a dell XPS M170 and it runs 5+ ambiant when idle and about 145 max when under full load.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything you've heard is true...

Pros: Yup, these are fast. Intel finally got it right. Mine is in a Macbook Pro 17", I do a lot of rendering and it's well over twice as fast as my 3GHz desktop. Sometimes 3x as fast. Cinebench rendering score is 590 in Windows, 626 in MacOSX. Spectacular 3DSMax, Vray, Cinema4D performance.

Cons: Like others have said, these notebooks run hot - not just the Macbooks, though those seem hotter because heat is dissipating through the aluminum case.

Other Thoughts: There are Micro ATX boards available for this CPU, it would be excellent in a small form factor system. Don't do this chip the injustice of pairing it with GMA950 video.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cpu

Pros: This processor is fantastic. Great video encoding speeds, great folding@home speeds. SSE3 support is wonderful to have.

Cons: Runs very hot in a macbook pro. Lack of 64bit support somewhat dissapointing.

Other Thoughts: All around a solid mobile processor. I'm sure it helps with the great battery life.
