5 out of 5 eggsGood CPU

Pros: Fast and OCs

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: I went from an E6550 to this and frame rates went and the game play is smoother even with a lowly RX2600XT

3 out of 5 eggsThe price is terribly messed up...

Pros: Higher Clock speed than the Q6600.

Cons: The Q6600 is $100 cheaper. =( I'll wait for the i7 to go down, then I'll get that. It's almost the same price. ?

Other Thoughts: The features are great but it just isn't worth that 320 CAD. I'm not joking but the Q6600 is 230 CAD. With only the slightest difference, I'd rather go for the Q6600. It's up to you but I'd rather get the Q6600. Intel has tried pretty hard i think to rip us off here.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter then I thought

Pros: I had a E8500 and got the Q6700 because someone sold me there New one for 150. So I tried BF2, UT3, and GTA3, running the Q6700 at stock settings. They all did as good if not better (FPS) then my E8500.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Quad Core is way better then Dual.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Fast at stock settings, OCing is good with a GO version. More than enough to meet today's everyday usage and gaming.

Cons: Still above 200

5 out of 5 eggsQ6700 10x Multiplier

Pros: Its a GO processor. Runs clean and stable according to a lot of reviews. A 10 multiplier for a processor is awesome!! Cheaper now than before :)

Cons: I don't have it yet, but if newegg has it in stock, soon hopefully, i will buy it!!!

Other Thoughts: Intel ownz you!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Chip

Pros: This is a great chip. I am running it at stock speeds and still haven't found anything to phase it. I've ran Nero 8 in the background while playing Crysis and it still did great.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Socket 775 chips are so easy to work with. Put this in an MSI P35 mb and it works. Great. Easilty runs to 3 ghz on stock voltage and fan. I just turn on the dynamic overclocking tool and select 11% sharp. Paired with a single 9800gtx OC video card, not sure why you would need anything more.

Cons: None for my purposes

Other Thoughts: For fun, ran defrag, virus scan, encoded a video, and played Crysis all at the same time. No problems, no performace hits.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth it

Pros: Replaced a E8500 and yes it is faster due to the cache at stock settings. The 3d mark is now 12,500 with 2 MSI 8800gt OC and 4 gb OCZ ddr 800 ram on an MSI 750i mainboard. My son enjoys the multitasking and gaming at the same time. Installed an Artic freezer Pro and it runs at 87F much cooler than the E8500.

Cons: None bought this open box and thanks to new egg service it was here in 3 days.

Other Thoughts: I recommend when doing sli to go with a quad versus dual core. The performance jump is there. I also recommend OCZ ram such as the reaper at ddr 800 which is CAS 4 versus 5. Trying out crysis warhead this week for more testing.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs stable at 3.7Ghz on 1.54v and stays below 50°c with watercooling (cores get up to around 55°c which is warm, but well within the safe range for this chip).

Cons: Gets rather warm at 3.8Ghz even with my watercooling.

Other Thoughts: Owned this chip for over a year at around 3Ghz on stock voltage. I was lucky to have an early-series chip that has a VID of only 1.275v which let me get a rather high O/C on the new mobo I recently changed to(Gigabyte EP35-DS3L).
