5 out of 5 eggsWhy OC if you're not a gamer?

Pros: This is actually my first Pentium system that I've built. Everything in the past has been 100% AMD whenever possible. This CPU is proving to hold it's ground better than my old AMD did. One day I'll try experimenting with overclocking, but for now, it does the job perfectly well.

Cons: None to mention yet. It does tend to run a bit on the warm side...but my Thermaltake fan keeps it cool.

5 out of 5 eggsAs expected

Pros: Excellent quality of oc, installed it on ASUS P4P800 Delux, matched with 2 Gb of Corsair value ram, mounted in Thermaltake Armor Jr. VC3000BNS Mid Tower, all HDs are mounted in "iCage", cpu is cooled by dirt cheap Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound and fantastic ZALMAN CNPS7000B-ALCU, most importantly, I added ZALMAN VF700-ALCU 2 Ball VGA COOLER for my antique ATI 9800 pro, all these ended up to be a super stable hardcore oc system - 3.6Gz. Do your math, yes, 1.2Gz increase! Try it but make sure you have a decent motherboard from Asus, not Abit, Soyo,... Second, never underestimate the vga cooler (always be the main hindrance for oc). Third, cool everything, namely, add some small fans and heatsinks on both north and south bridge surfaces. Last, add a small amount of vcore voltage only when you encounter difficulties in oc. You are good to go.

Cons: Prescott is notorious for its massive heat. If you are a big fan of oc but without the help of BIG FAN, be prepaired to build a new system...

Other Thoughts: I hate the pricey Asus, "unfortunately", their performance seems to justify why are much more expensive than others. If u really love oc, try it.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Great cpu, put it in, worked fine.

Cons: Stock heatsink/fan isn't the best, but it keeps it moderately cool.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price/Performance Ratio. HSF Included. Runs very stable.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Used it for a budget build for a customer in a small office. It runs great and is definitely worth the price. Perfect for budget P4 solutions. Couldn't be more satisfied.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Steady and Reliable

Pros: This is a stable processor, it runs decently cool with the stock heatsink and has suprising results when processing data.

Cons: The Stock Heatsink can be considered garbage, but will keep the CPU cool and stable till you can upgrade.

Other Thoughts: I put this into a friend of mines computer when he asked me to build one for him. I have always went with Pentium 4's as they had always offered me the stability yet power I need. As it is, I am planning to buy one to replace my P4 2.66ghz 533fsb 512k cache CPU for this one "The GHZ may be smaller, but the cache is more then enough to power up my computer. My tests have shown it to pack more a punch.

4 out of 5 eggsWarm under the hood

Pros: Runs great, overclocks nicely. Good bang for the buck.

Cons: Like an inferno in my case. 50C idling and upwards of 60C with two Shadowbane accounts. The stock hsf is a peice of plastic garbage.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Purchase No Regrets

Pros: Purchased this from Newegg almost 2 years ago. Could not have made a better choice. Combined it with a Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000G mainboard with 1 gig ram and to this day I have not had any thoughts of upgrading to a newer faster processor.

Cons: No Hyperthreading but I don't know if you could tell the difference if it did have it.

Other Thoughts: When time to build a new machine I will purchad Gigabyte/Intel again and from Newegg.
