5 out of 5 eggsforget AMD, this is what you want

Pros: FAST Fast Fast! I upgraded from a 3.0HT and the difference is easily noticable. I believe most of the speed increase is due to the FSB speed. I went from 800 to 1066. I have this processor installed on a MSI P4N Diamond with 4GB RAM and Two 7600GTs in SLI.

Currently overclocked to 3.91 with no stability issues. Any higher and I get a freeze up here and there. Although I have heard these will overclock to 4.25+ I could not do it.

Cons: Runs hot. I installed The Thermaltake Big Water Cooling system, and dropped my idle temps 19 degrees C and my load temp 22 degrees C. You almost must have a Watercooling system with this fast of an Intel Chip. The stock Intel fan is a joke.

Other Thoughts: System specs
Asus Vento case
MSI P4N Diamond Motherboard
4GB OCZ Gold DDR2 667
2 PNY 7600GTs SLI
WD 160GB SATA2
WD 200GB SATA2
2 BenQ DL DVD-R 16X

5 out of 5 eggsZoom!

Pros: Zooom! Away goes the the processor, it's the fastest I have ever used. It can multi-task with no problems, I ran two virus scans burned a cd and had world of warcraft on at the same time and it ran just fine.

Cons: A little hot if you dont have water cooling.

Other Thoughts: The price may scare some people but it's soo worth it to have a processor that can do so much.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems at 4.27GHz

Pros: Very Fast, 4.27GHz on watercooling

Cons: Pricey but worth it

Other Thoughts: Get Intel 975XBX Board too.

LOL to the guy who smoked it and gave it a bad review. Gave it a bad review because he feels stupid for getting coolant or Artic Silver in the LGA socket.. Or didn't mount the block correctly.. but he'll get the benefit of the doubt for that... This processor is king, just be careful mounting it. lol

5 out of 5 eggsFastest Processor A LOT of money can buy!

Pros: This is the fastest Proc I have ever owned. It performs great and I have had no problems what so ever.

Cons: Price!

Other Thoughts: Other users are having heat issues but mine runs at 25 degrees celcius under full load with air cooling and 20 degrees celcius with water cooling.
My setup:
MOBO- Asus P5N32-SLI Deluxe
Proc- 955EE Intel Pentium D
Ram- 2GB Corsair XMS2
Video- 2 eVga 7900GTX in SLI
Of course it is overclocked!

5 out of 5 eggsEE

Pros: Fast.

Cons: Expensive and hot.

Other Thoughts: Replaced stock cooler. Remove fan controls and run all CPU and case fans full noisy speed. Installation instructions stinck. The orientation of the push pins is unclear in the manual provided. Check the WEB site user's guide for clearer instructions. Pin grooves should be perpendicular to install and parrallel to uninstall. Be carefull to line up and so as not to crush plastic male protrusions when inserting push pins of CPU stock fan into mobo holes.

5 out of 5 eggsSteroids

Pros: Well, This processor overclocks like there is no tomorrow. I have a peltier cooler on it and can overclock it to 4.5+ and it's stable.

Cons: It does run extremely hot. I replaced a 3.73 Pentium 4 EE (single core) which would regularly give me between -4 to 0 celsius on my peltier cooler but this Presler proc averages around 2 to 8 celsius depending on idle or load (not overclocked).

Other Thoughts: It's an overclockers dream. Still though, it looks as if the upcoming Conroe is the way to go.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: none

Cons: I have lots of experience with building computers and was using this processor with water cooling and the processor fried as soon as I turned on the computer. The water cooling system was fine, I tried it with another processor before. This processor just runs way too hot

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY, buy AMD processors, the FX-60 runs much cooler, uses less power, and costs the same, and did I mention it also performs better. I will never buy and intel processor again

5 out of 5 eggsHot As Hellfire?

Pros: Speed, efficiency, dual cores, and easy installation via 775 interface. If you ever wanted to see a Pentium D on steroids, this processor is for you.

Cons: Runs very hot. On a water cooling system, the CPU still runs at almost 50C idle! High 50's to 60's under load. I would hate to see how hot it is on the stock sink. Also, it's a bit pricey.

Other Thoughts: Make sure to buy an aftermarket cooling solution with this CPU, you'll need it. Water cooling is the way to go; but if you're squeamish about it then I recommend the Zalman 120 series of heatsinks.

5 out of 5 eggsWhoa! Can't slow it down

Pros: Absolutely the best CPU out there. Over clocking? No problem here I am yet to trip this thing up!

Cons: Can't find anything wrong. Works Great just expensive.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth every penny! Won't need to upgrade anytime soon.

5 out of 5 eggsOverclocker's Dream

Pros: wanna overclock? if your answer is yes than get this processor, and if u got the money to buy this processore i am sure u can afford a good cooler, i am watercooling it right now. have it overclocked to 4.76ghz, the mutliplier is at 17 and the front side bus is ony at 280, that is because i am getting my 2gigs of ddr2-800 tommorrow and right now i have the crappiest ram which i got for 40 dollars because i couldnt wait to get my computer going, my vcore is at around 1.55, and right now my idle temp is around 42c and i havent seen it go above 54 under full load. well that about does it for the pros.

Cons: well i dont have anything to say in this area, except for the fact that its very expensive..
