1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Worked for a while.

Cons: Paid $100+ more than they are now. Sticks went bad after 10 months on a stock machine.

Other Thoughts: Won't be buying this brand again.

5 out of 5 eggsStill ticking

Pros: *This is an excellent set of RAM. I've had it running @ 2.5-3-3-6 @ 200MHz 2.64V for over two years now.
*It's a cheap replacement for memory for that old system that needs some older DDR PC3200!

Cons: Like others said: you have to press hard on the sticks to get the RAM holders on the mainboard to "click" because of the heatspreaders being mounted so low on the memory itself. Doesn't like to OC at all past 214MHz @ stock timings (3-4-4-8) and voltages (2.6v).

Other Thoughts: I'll continue running this RAM 24/7 until it or the CPU fails. This PC is used for folding (F@H) and gaming. Believe me, if it was going to fail it would've.

4 out of 5 eggsPrevious Ownership

Pros: I am reviewing an old pair that I have had for 2 - 3 Years now running almost 24 /7 and they have run without a single glitch. The pair I own however is "Single Channel" but also 2 x 1 GB sticks. Although I haven't really Over Clocked them much and I just left my system back at stock speeds, I must say that they are nonetheless pretty stable and smooth.

Cons: I can't think of any cons for the kind of usage I've put them through. I'm getting what I expected from them.

Other Thoughts: Remember as a final note, I would like to add my system configuration. I think this helps users even more when choosing to buy a product! Remember that different configurations and systems yield different results!

1 out of 5 eggsDesign Defect Causes OS Errors

Pros: They look really cool, and have a hefty feel to them.

Cons: Heat spreaders are designed to hit the slots before the contacts are fully seated, and you can't removed them without voiding warranty, so you're stuck.

I started getting errors after the system heated up, which lead to bad connections and random memory error. Everything went back to normal when I removed these sticks.

Tried them in a different machine, same pattern of heat then errors.

Other Thoughts: Even if there were no errors, I would have returned them anyway because this memory is terribly slow, something like 3-4-4-8. My Corsair @2.5 is noticably faster, though I can't be certain that the slow speed was due to the timings or the poor connections.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good price

Cons: Heat spreaders extend (or are located) too low on the modules. This results in the DIMMs seating ~85% in the slot meaning that the heat spreaders hit the slots before the contacts were fully seated. The retainer clips were hard to push closed, and again, the chip didn't seat deeply enough to close them completely. I'm not going to RMA them because they fit well enough to function, after all.

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: It runs flawlessly. I have tested it (running many applications) and it runs them smoothly. Computer runs much faster, and loading times are quicker, especially in games.

Cons: None from what I can see.

Other Thoughts: Great deal for the money... although I have no clue why DDR is more expensive than DDR2

---I didn't buy this item from newegg. I bought it from the store, so I can't comment on shipping times.

1 out of 5 eggsOnly lasted 5 days

Pros: inexpensive

Cons: Worked fine in a normally stable system for 5 days, then the system just kept crashing. Once these memory boards were removed, sysem was fine again.

Other Thoughts: The heat spreaders should not be so large, they do make it difficult to properly seat the modules in the motherboard.
