- Pros: Very quick RAM, even with my sh-- motherboard that doesn't allow you to enable ECC. (It's only running at 800mhz) It's still lightning fast. Scores 7.1 on windows index.
- Cons: BIG, but it helps control all the heat :P
Ehh, Mixed feelings
- Pros: These modules are *sometimes* awesome. I have a pair (older v1.1) that works flawlessly at 475+ MHz, giving me a +4Ghz on a Intel 9550s w/ a GA-EP45-UD3P. My 2x2GB setup has been stable for over a year.
- Cons: The latest set (even alone at 2x2GB) does not run reliably at 466, 433, 400, etc... and causes serious issues. They're rated at 533 Mhz @ 2.1V. Not sure what's changed, but my faith in Corsair quality has diminished. I originally hoped/tried to run a full 8Gb set at 466, 450, 433, even 400 Mhz, w/ appropriate MB tweaks, but to no avail. My mem testing has varing results depending on the day. The new modules seem to just be bad & I'll have to RMA.
- Other Thoughts: I know that Corsair doesn't recommend a 4x2GB config, but these two new modules just aren't stable (even alone). For the premium, I would expect more from such an established company even at default speeds. I can't recommend these. :-(
One Strip Bad
- Pros: One strip out of two works.
- Cons: One strip out of two does not work.
- Other Thoughts: Wish both worked.

Manufacturer Response:Please RMA the kit to either Corsair directly or to Newegg. We'll gladly replace them and we are sorry you got a bad module.
