corsair 512 value select
- Pros: I've always used corsair brand, and it has never failed in over 15 years. I still own corsair memory I've bought years ago which is now outdated for anything really useful, but works good as the day it was purchased. You can't go wrong with any corsair brand memory as long as it's used for the proper installation with the proper type.
- Cons: Newegg Cons : I won't be too hard on them, shipping is usually pretty decent from newegg, though stay away from 2nd day cons and the rush order optional charges, they don't rush it any sooner. I ordered 3 hours before they closed and they didn't get to my order together until the next day. Then it took six and a half days to get my 2nd day shipping order, shipped to me. What a waste of money. I would of gotten it the exact same time if I would of ordered regular shipping. (because I order alot I know how long it takes) Don't waste your money like I did, it won't get there any sooner...go buy something else instead if you have another $20.00-$30.00 to blow. Also don't make a mistake ordering, cancel your order and then order again if your account does not have enough funds. They will charge your card anyway until it can all resolve itself in two weeks for your deposit to return. It does not cancel your order on the spot, I made this mistake and waited two weeks for my money return.
- Other Thoughts: Don't use value select on gaming systems, and expect it to achieve greatness. That's why it's called value, so you can afford to at least run your computer. This is what's nice about corsair, the variety of price or power for what you need.

- Cons: Didn't work on this generic motherboard at work.
- Other Thoughts: Not sure if it's a picky board or it was the ram so don't want to give a total negative. Ended up just tossing the computer and rebuilding a modern one.
