Pros: Hey, it was FAR. What can you ask for more? It works fine in my older Dell PC with another PC2 4200 stick.

Cons: None from me.

Other Thoughts: Who's going to stop Patriots?

1 out of 5 eggsLow compatibility

Pros: Carries the Mushkin high performance stamp.

Cons: This memory is for Intel chipsets only. To be exact, three of them only. Read the fine print at the Mushkin site. This is not something that runs well for a DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) offering. The Mushkin "High Performance" rating on this module implies compatibility over a wide assortment of motherboard configurations. That compatibility does not exist in this module.

Other Thoughts: Without noting the later Mushkin fine print, I installed this to an ASUS M2N32-SLI Wireless Deluxe motherboard (AM2). Boot was extremely erratic, even after eventually being able to set the motherboard Bios configuration - and even that was tricky and difficult. The memory was still unstable. A call to Mushkin support confirmed this module has low compatibility due to its internal encoding. It is designed for Intel chipset operation only. Replacement of the module with Mushkin PC2 6400 was necessary in this motherboard and even it was sub par in operation for a "High Performance" module. Standard Crucial modules perform much better than this Mushkin memory.

Manufacturer Response:

This product is compatible with any mobo that runs the JDEC spec. If our site does not have your mobo listed it is more than likely due to the site not not being updated with the newest models. Mushkin is compatible with almost every mobo manufactured by Intel.

4 out of 5 eggsMemory Dump error

Pros: great memory for the price. fast, works great with the dual channel using 2GB.

Cons: I often get crashes. blue screen of Uber Death. Memory Dump error pops up often. Haven't been able to figure if it's the memory or the JetWay motherboard that won't update the bios.

Other Thoughts: it's good memory, I think. But be careful what mobo you have!

3 out of 5 eggsBE CAREFUL!!

Pros: The performance is great for the $$$

Cons: Be very very carefull when installing this memory! the heatsink is very cheap. I was installing this chip in my mobo and POP, the heatsink grinded itself down the sides of the chip ripping off little capacitors. I almost puked from being so upset spending this much and the quality is THAT bad.

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Great RAM. Worked, fast, good price, nice-looking.

Cons: None that I can tell.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure about the DDR2-667 standard. I think many people are hopping on the 800 bandwagon. Whatever.
