OCZ Premier Series 512MB PC-3200 DDR is designed to offer better value to mainstream users seeking excellent performance and quality. With a stock clock speed of 400MHz, and a CAS Latency of only 2.5, data transfer rates reach into multimedia and gaming ranges without breaking a sweat. This translates into quick loading and rendering times, making the action and images on your screen even more impressive.
A unique OCZ feature is the ULN (Ultra Low Noise) technology that reduces the amount of electrical noise that is present in all high-speed ICs, resulting in faster and more stable memory. OCZ also offers the unique Extended Voltage Protection feature, which allows the memory modules to handle voltages up to 2.2V ±5%, and you have a module that really earns the name Premier Series.

Excelent value
- Pros: Excellent value for a CAS 2.5 Latency DDR 400 module. Have 4 of these modules on my K8T Neo2-FIR in dual channel mode. While most people were having trouble getting any memory to run in dual channel mode on this motherboard, these puppies ran in full DDR400 dual-channel speeds even though the MB itself only supports DDR333 speeds when running 4 dual-sided DDR sticks. Running all 4 at 2.5-3-3-6-T2 DDR400. You can run T1 if you have <= 2 sticks.
- Cons: Had one faulty stick, but OCZ RMA is quick.
Helpful hint
- Pros: Very solid, stable RAM.
Beautiful high quality heat spreaders. Awesome RAM for an awesome price.
- Cons: Bought two sticks
Got one stick that worked and the other one that wouldn't. Sent it back to newegg only to have them pretend to ship me a new one. What I should have done was check my ram timings in BIOS. I got the ram back only to run into the same problem, I edited the timings instead of leaving it on auto configure. Now both sticks work just fine.
- Other Thoughts: Save yourself some time and money!
Before you ship it back as a DOA. Check your RAM timings in BIOS first! Don't assume since one stick works under auto settings that the other should logically do the same.
