5 out of 5 eggsIt werks!

Pros: Matched set and lifetime warranty. I had purchased this memory kit over a year ago and recently had a bad IC on one of them. Crucial issued an RMA, with no issues. I took the opportunity to buy another 2 GB. Crucial got me the replacement matched set in 5 days. Great price.

Cons: None really, My AMD runs hese a little hot, but heat spreaders work fine....

Other Thoughts: Good solid memory. great customer service... buy these now and stop looking....

5 out of 5 eggsOverclocking Champ

Pros: Heat Spreaders, Very low latency, Timing is excellent, Did i mention it overclocks like a champ. I have mine at 250mhz each now and it doesnt drop a beat

Cons: Heatspreaders are a little wide

Other Thoughts: Just bought a next 512 pair to add to my system today, cant wait to put it into my system. 2.6 AMD X2, 1gb (soon to be 2gb) Crucial Ballistix Ram, 1.1Tb Hdd, Radeon X800Xl, Audigy X Gamer.

4 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: Fast!! The low timing really help , some of the fastest ddr chips around. Still works after a year

Cons: They run hot , so make sure you have good air flow. They get errors after a bunch hours in a stress test.......this might have something to do with heat. If you rig some kind of fan right above them i think this problem will disappear though. This is the only reason it doesnt have a five star rating from me

Other Thoughts: Good for gaming , but for the latest games i would try for 2 gigs

5 out of 5 eggsCrucial Ballistix 1 GB PC3200

Pros: Memory definitly shortened load times for programs. Upgrading to 2 GB was well worth the money.

Cons: The first 1 GB purchased didn't work with my OEM existing 1 GB. A little more information on parity vs non-parity, ECC vs non-ECC, etc. would have helped. Therefore made second purchase of identical 1 GB memory to finally reach 2 GB. Either way, still cheaper than buying 1 GB locally.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb service

Pros: The memories worked great.

Newegg's service is outstanding. I can't find an expired rebate form associated with this item. Newegg's rep took the time to dig it out for me. Outstanding service.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsWhat a bargain!

Pros: The price, the price....

Cons: 1) This memory does not perform well in my overclocked setup.
2) When I installed that pair mixed with other memories, I had to first force memory setting down, then custom configure the memory setting in the BIOS.

Other Thoughts: Excellent value for that price (on sale and after rebate). Helped extended the life span of my older system, on a rather low budget.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM, great service!

Pros: Overall this was a great set of RAM for me. When putting them in, I could tell an immediate difference from the value ram that was running on my computer previously.

Cons: One stick in the pair went bad after a little under 1 1/2 years.

Other Thoughts: Contacted Crucial online and they were prompt and helpful. Unfortunately with the holiday weekend I have to wait until Tuesday and arrange a cross-ship with a phone rep.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: I've used Corsair for years and my last pair of 512MB failed me so I decided to try another brand. Crucial Ballistix are great I have had this pair for about a year with no problems.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: One reviewer said his system kept crashing with this ram. It could have been his case didn't have enough circulation. This set of ram tends to get hot so you have to make sure your case is well ventilated.

4 out of 5 eggsCrucial is the way to go!

Pros: I have been owning this model since December of 2004! Just recently a month ago, I had no choice but to return these modules, because of a defect. Crucial gladly took my sticks away and replaced it free-of-charge with the newer version in stock now. These sticks are newly designed, and to me lasts longer. I may have been having the defect with the last version since I first purchased them in 2004. However; this version simply blows them away.

Cons: These modules get VERY HOT compared to my Corsair after a while, especially when there is not sufficient ventilation in your system. Hopefully, these will last long.

Other Thoughts: There is no gurantee whether or not these modules are going to be available in the near future. Production may end very soon, thus may sure your modules work effectivily during your life-time warranty before they go discontinued.
