Every computer needs more memory, unless you've filled all your slots. Generally speaking, you always need more. No matter what you have, or if you're building something new, memory is vital. Usually, the more you have the better the computer will perform. Just make sure you have the "right stuff."

Designed specifically to offer mainstream users excellent performance and quality at a lower price point, the A-Data Extreme Edition series doesn't disappoint. It is perfect for those who want great performance but don't want to break the bank.

Keeping that in mind A-Data's 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR 400 (PC 3200) kit is perfect for adding to the performance and stability of your computer. Running at 400MHz, these modules are already primed for power. Two of these modules will provide such a performance increase that you may not want to remember what it was like before you added it to your system!

5 out of 5 eggsADATA RAM

Pros: Great ram for the price. I gave it five stars, even though I had one module fail after two years. It has a lifetime warranty and manufacturer is honoring the warranty without any probems.

Cons: No cons

5 out of 5 eggsLong term review.

Pros: The second set has been working since 2006 - tens of thousands of hours of use.
Reasonable size heat spreaders.

Cons: The first set had one stick fail within 3 months, with memtest86 verified corruption. Newegg handled RMA well.

5 out of 5 eggsImmediate fixed "slow" issues...

Pros: Unfortunately spent hard earned money on 4 Gigs of useless and less expensive DDR Memory.Lost receipt, unable to return these useless modules that only caused headaches,OS reinstalls and "slow issues" such as delayed typing issues, slow "video play" issues even when changing BIOS performance enhancement features.Suddenly,I had an idea of taking 2 Gigs of THIS same memory out of my other PC, that I had recently built. When I replaced it..."B-A-N-G"..instant GRATIFICATION!!Netflix now runs smooth as butter. My games:Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears of War I all run with no hiccups or OS crash issues, smooth as ice on 1920X1080p resolution. My ASUS-P4C800E Deluxe motherboard thanks me and now has a mind of it's own! Thanks Newegg and ADATA!!

Cons: None,Only to say that running it w/ my Asus-P4C800E Deluxe/Socket 478/3.4 Ghz Pent.4/800MHz/1M:L2 Cache has breathed NEW life into my Classic, yet still renown BEAST of a motherboard!!

Other Thoughts: For all those who think this memory's not worth it.Well,it's good to have a solid knowledge of computers, trial and error, changing out one thing, then the other, thinking about what it might have been,it's all about thinking about the simplest things first, then going deep it more detailed aspects,to catch what's actually causing your problem!!Iv'e bought this same memory 7 mths ago, then again two months ago to max out my memory on my mobo.I've never had a problem w/ this memory, even on my other PC builds! It has only added LIFE and SPEED to BOTH of my pc builds!!Thanks NEWEGG for carrying this SUPERB PRODUCT and other GRAT DDR Memory as well, which are becoming more and more scarce as the yrs go by!!I will be purchasing G SKILL DDR as well!! THANKS THANKS!! GREAT Pricing on GREAT Products!!

5 out of 5 eggsworth the price

Pros: Works seemlessly with other brands of ram. Great upgrade for an aging system. Windows recognized it with ease and now my machine has several more useful years in it.

Cons: Price is not as attractive as other modules, but worth the money. breathed new life to my aging system.

Other Thoughts: This is an old style of ram, but still usefull. If you want to make your aging system worth using again, buy this ram.
