Every computer needs more memory, unless you've filled all your slots. Generally speaking, you always need more. No matter what you have, or if you're building something new, memory is vital. Usually, the more you have the better the computer will perform. Just make sure you have the "right stuff."

Designed specifically with gamers in mind, the A-Data line of system memory is engineered to increase overall performance. With A-Data's uniquely designed heatspeader technology, the memory can be overclocked to your heart's content and not overheat your computer.

Keeping that in mind A-Data's 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) module is perfect for improving your computer's performance. Running at 800MHz, these modules are already primed for power. High performance gaming and graphics machines will get the most out of this memory. Two of these modules will provide such an increase that you may not want to remember what it was like before you added it to your system.

  • newegg A-DATA Vitesta DDR2 SDRAM Designed to meet the JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standard’s 800MHz data-rate specifications, the Vitesta DDR2 module has immense potential for higher performance. This dual channel kit features heavy-duty heatspreaders for optimum heat dissipation.
  • newegg DDR2 800 DDR2 800 delivers incredible performance and platform compatibility with up to 6.4GB/s per channel memory bandwidth for the ultimate work and gaming power!

Pros: cool looking heat spreader, CHEAP. pretty fast, i was actually able to overclock it to about 893 without any voltage tweaks and extra cooling.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap cheap

Pros: cheap at the time

Cons: One of the two memory cards died immediately and since this was for a customer, I couldn't wait to RMA it and had to replace from my existing stock. I hate to lose any money on a build since the profit margin is so low to begin with. Next time I will go with a more well known brand.
