3 out of 5 eggsWorks ok when it works

Pros: High capacity, cheap. Works ok, write speed is as expected from Class 2 card - approx. 2 Mb/s

Cons: * Died after 8 months
* A-DATA customer support is pretty much useless

Other Thoughts: Newegg was great and promptly exchanged the faulty card in accordance with their Standard return policy. Thanks, Newegg!

3 out of 5 eggsCould Not Use

Pros: Lots of memory space

Cons: SDHC high capacity not compatible with my camera or any others I found
Not sure what it will work in....

Other Thoughts: It would have been nice to have a compatibility chart

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well after Hotfix in XP

Pros: Relatively inexpensive. Works well in my application. I use it a Dell notebook embedded SD reader as a backup medium.

Cons: SDHC cards don't necessarily work in SD devices. It worked in an SD labeled Casio Camera, and worked in my notebook after I applied an XP Hotfix. Had to Google quite a bit to track down the Hotfix.

Other Thoughts: Ensure compatibility before buying one of these.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as adverstised

Pros: I use this card with my Cowon D2 player (firmware 2.5). The card works seamlessly with the device. Nice price for 8gb.

Cons: None. Does what I need it to do.

Other Thoughts: I am looking forward to affordable 16gb cards.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Card

Pros: 8G

Cons: I have a Canon G7. I purchased an A-Data 8G SDHC card with it. The card locked up while shooting photos and corrupted the card. Many of the photos and .avi shots were not recoverable. A-Data said I needed a firmware upgrade. That process took about 2 weeks. My wife had the camera lock up during a recent trip with the same problem even with the update. You will lose your photos if you use this card.

3 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work on my palm pilot

Pros: small compact storage device for a good price

Cons: will not work on the older card readers, the reader must be SDHC compatible not just SD compatible, it works on my laptop and on a PCMCIA reader but not on my palmpilot

Other Thoughts: data transfer is slow, use another medium for anything above 1Gb. if you overfill it, the card will corrupt and it must be reformatted for it to work again

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great in N800. Class 6 performance

Pros: Fast, big, cheap SDHC. Super Newegg service

Cons: Doesn't come in a combo with a nice little reader like Item=N82E16820223079 (yet :)

Other Thoughts: Class 2 guarantees 2MB/sec write. This baby does 6MB/sec in my N800 (with SHDC kernel patch), no problem. Clocked at 15MB/sec read, FYI. Excellent value

1 out of 5 eggsMemory Card Error

Pros: Price was pretty good for an 8GB

Cons: Card Error, constantly gave me this on my camera (Canon SD 450)

Other Thoughts: I have been getting the same errors from the first one I ordered to this last one. I dont know if this card isnt compatiable with my camera, but im pretty frustrated at this point. I am going to get a refund for this product

3 out of 5 eggsNot fast enough

Pros: Lots of storage. Price.

Cons: Not fast enough to record video in HD (780p) on my Canon TX1. The camera buffer constantly fills and the video cuts off because the card just cant fill fast enough.

Other Thoughts: In lower res it works just fine, but of course that's not why I bought a digicam that can record HD movies. My plain vanilla Sandisk 4GB card records just fine and it's not a fast card at all so this one must be pretty darned slow.
