Excellent Jumpdrive
- Pros: Fast! I benchmarked and compared against a generic 2GB drive. The Patriot Drive performed on HD Tach: 31.2 MB/s Avg Read - 10MB/s Avg Write. Generic drive 17.6 MB/s Avg Read - 2.4MB/s Avg Write.
- Cons: I agree with the other reviewer that the rubber loop to which the lanyard attaches should be stronger. So don't yank the drive out by the lanyard.
- Other Thoughts: As a network engineer I need a lot of portable apps to do my juob. This drive is speedy and roomy. Newegg service just rocks. Order arrived a day early. I am a frequent NewEgg customer. Both drives were formated NTFS.
Better than expected!
- Pros: By far fastest flash drive I have ever owned, though that probably doesn't signify much.
It is definitely NOT big, unless you compare it to the practically anorexic technology everyone seems to crave (*ahem* iPod nano).
Besides, a little extra size makes the drive feel sturdy. The rubber itself is very protective around the drive.
Can't beat the price, especially with the mail-in-rebate!
- Cons: I disliked the lanyard, that's about it. Doesn't seem very sturdy at all, unlike the drive itself.
- Other Thoughts: Also comes with a USB extender, a nice plus...

Good Buy
- Pros: Good capacity for my needs, quick read and writes ( I got about 6-7 MB/s write speeds which beats the *soft brown/green waste product* out of any form of portable storage i use). The first thing i did with it was use it to install win7 on my laptop. Wow, i have never sat down and watched the entire installation before, it was that quick.

- Cons: One of the most common complaints i think for flash drives, the cap is not attached to the drive and pulls off. Not a huge deal, I'm usually pretty good about remember that thing. Also the rubber loop that is used to connect to the lanyard seems like it might rip some day, as of right now though its all good. This is not newegg's fault, but i would like to point it out, the egg saver shipping option means that at some point your parcel will be tendered to USPS. USPS recieved my package about 40 miles south of my location on early morning friday. I did not recieve my drive until Thursday, i don't understand why it could take so long, i thought all the ponies in the pony express were put down long ago but apparently not.
- Other Thoughts: If you wear it with the included lanyard, people will spot you and identify you from miles away as a nerd. Not bad for me, i really dont care who knows. But beware all you closet nerds who pretend you dont know the difference between mb/s and MB/s, or FAT and NTFS.
Solid USB drive
- Pros: Very low price. Good manufacturer. Better speeds than my previous drives.
- Cons: I'm not a fan of the flashy design and rubber. I question how secure the USB input is as it seems to bend without much force.
- Other Thoughts: Hard to review a USB drive without a date of failure. Perhaps this will be an exception and last more than a couple years.
Its Huge (and fast)
- Pros: Very fast USB Drive - could play AVIs off it.
Vista Readyboost
Durable rubber body
- Cons: This drive is enormous - easily twice as thick as any other USB stick I've owned (meaning it can block other USB ports)
Rather thin rubber tie strap (breaks easily)
- Other Thoughts: I bought this based on price and speed - it lived up to both, though I definitely found its size an issue - I'm not sure if I'd buy it again.
