Work with Gigabyte DS3
- Pros: Work out of the box with Gigabyte DS3 Rev C2 motherboard. This RAM require 2.0V and the board only provided 1.8V at stock but it booted up just fine unlike the Gold version of this module. I manually increased the VDimm to 2.0 after that. Booted up at 2GB and ran at 5-5-5-15 so you will need to manually adjust timing to 5-5-5-12 (Ctrl+F1 on this board). Low profile will not interfere with large HSF (Zalman CNPS9500, Big Typhoon, etc). Consider how DDR2 RAM prices have skyrocketed, this set is decently priced after MIR for average performance ddr2 ram.
- Cons: Lose timing at ddr 800 and above. Will not run stable at 4-5-5-12 at DDR 800. Top out at 880-900 depending on your system components. Very warm under load.
- Other Thoughts: Along with Gigabyte DS3 and Core 2 E6400, I got the system to boot at 3.52 Ghz (440*8) at DDR 880 (5-5-5-12). Vcore 1.32 and Vdimm 2.0. Prime 95 failed after 1+ hr but I can play games for hours without crashing so...
Awesome Stuff
- Pros: Contrary to previous reviews, I had no issues booting right up on my M2N32-SLI. Clocks all the way to DDR-900 at 4-5-4, DDR1000 at 5-5-5...that is a whole speed grade higher :)
- Cons: None so far

Nice memory
- Pros: only 2 GB keeps my custom computer running and haven't had had a hiccup yet.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Camo was a nice touch.
- Pros: Runs stable for me. Worked immediately on my motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35.
- Cons: After a year, starting to experience some random errors on my computer, but I'm still troubleshooting it. I believe it's actually a driver problem or the GPU/PSU and not the memory. Testing everything at this point.
- Other Thoughts: When I first bought this memory, I was a bit wary, never used OCZ RAM before, but the reviews and brand's popularity made me go for it and I haven't regretted it once. If anything is wrong with my computer, I know that this RAM is still SOLID.
Great RAM at a Great Price!
- Pros: I love this RAM. I purchased this kit back in Feb 07 when it was $195.99. Amazing how the pice drops on this stuff. Solid, stable RAM that only needed minor tweaking in the bios.
- Cons: I was not thrilled with the camo color, but in my Antec 900 it was hard to see the camo paint as you look down on the RAM itself.
- Other Thoughts: You can't go wrong picking up this kit. OCZ support is great and if you go into the forums, you can prolly get help even faster if you need it. I haved moved on to a new mobo and faster RAM from OCZ, but OCZ has gained a loyal customer. They make an outstanding product. Thanks Newegg!
