I understand there are defects in memory modules, I just must be unlucky, this is the second time I've ever had to RAM memory, both times now ocz, I'm seeing a pattern. Cons: For some reason the dimms generate errors and blue screens if i run them together. Both sticks test fine alone, but when I put them together in either dual channel or single they mess up. Other Thoughts: Tried everything i could think of including varying the settings and voltage. For a while i thought it was my motherboard, but my wife's ram works fine in it. My friends told me this was a pretty good set of memory for gaming and I bought it when I had the money. Had it for a month and I'm so glad with the performance results Cons: The only real con is that you need a 64-bit OS to use all 4 GB. However when I get Windows 7 64-bit I'll be even happier. Cons: none Other Thoughts: For what it's worth I wanted to offset some of the poor reviews based around rebate experiences. I purchased three kits back in Dec/Jan when they were constantly on rebate and received my check for each (and a fourth from OCZ for a P&C PSU) within 8 weeks. This being the review for my third kit, it's also worth noting that I mailed this rebate a day late and still received the check. I was prepared to make my case on the OCZ forums (more often than not they approve the rebate) but that proved unnecessary. I bought 2 sets in two orders, two weeks apart. The second set began to have memory errors right away (first or second day). The first set starts acting up a week after the second set was added (2.5 weeks of operation). Maybe they didn't like the airflow in the APEVIA X-QPACK-NW-BK/420 but it has ventilation as far as I can tell. In any case, the RAM generated 9 errors in 4 passes with Memtest86. Other Thoughts: Repeating this negative review because I bought two sets in separate orders. Switching over to CORSAIR 4GB TWIN2X4096-6400C5. Hopefully that helps.
