1 out of 5 eggsProblem and problem after problem

Pros: One stick worked? Newegg was great but the product I found lacking in every category.

Cons: I've never had so much problems with RAM in my life, I ordered a pair of these because I read they were good and stable. When I get them in, one stick was bad and the other worked, Newegg was kind enough to send me a new one though but yet again the same exact thing happend. It's not my RAM slots because I've tried different RAM and they all worked fan, it was just the G.Skill that wouldn't run.

Other Thoughts: If I were you I'd stay away from this RAM, but some people have had good luck with it maybe mine is just bad,

ABIT Fatality Motherboard
Asus Radeon x850XT PE PCI-E 16x

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome speed

Pros: Awseome speed. 299x8.5 on a 3000+ winnie @ 2.5-4-4-8-1T on a DFI Ultra-D NF4 board @ 2.7v

300+ would never boot. think BIOS issues. Maybe I should of went 2T timings?

Cons: None except price. but even then it is worth every penny.

Other Thoughts: I had troubles getting over 250 stable until I lowered my volts down to 2.7 even 2.8 was a little flakey. and 2.9 or 3.0 wouldn't go over 225. bought these back in in feb 05 and took me 3 months of figuring these out and NF4 memory controllers to get them working. Now a days these are pretty well documented and debugged and much easier to OC. too bad I had to sell these as my games need 2GB ram and didn't want 4 sticks and figuring that combo out. NF4 auto slows you memory to 533mhz. I read where people can get back 800mhz by going to 2T on timings.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 2nd to none

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Forget people's odd claims blah blah. My Venice 32X runs at 2.71
stable with auto mem settings. So be it 2T etc. I happen to own the GBFF and this (GBLA) boots MUCH faster and does a shade over 22K on 3D01, wheras the GBFF does a shade under. That test is 'real world' enough for me. Don't let the 2T scare you. You're gonna be 2Ting it with ANY memory to get it stable.
The GBFF hems and haws because of the default low settings.
This does not. This also boots at the 2.5/4/7/3 265X10 as my GBFF does. I kept this and gave the other to my wife. Both great, this a bit more stable
up top. The other has better auto settings for those not in the know who keep it at or
under 250X-

I've owned this for 10 months and it allows the various chips I've abused to go higher and farther than one would think possible. Buy this stuff with a Venice 3500 and your PC will run a fast as the top of the line anything made. Great stuff from
a great small company (GS).

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't have asked for more

Comments: If you're considering getting these at all. Don't hesitate and just do it. Samsung is discontinuing TCCD and these won't be around much longer. Anyway, they run great. On a DFI Lanparty SLI-D I can get
DDR600 2.5-4-4-7 1T @ 2.9V vDimm.

Needless to say it is very impressive. I was also able to run these at the LE standard timings at DDR550 no problem. One word of caution though. FYI, They are rated at DDR600 but with a 2T command rate, many of them can run this speed at a 1T, but it isn't guaranteed. Just thought you should know this.

4 out of 5 eggs

Comments: Prior to owning these, I was using Corsair XMS PC4400 which was rated at 2.5-4-4-8 @ 275MHz but ran perfectly stable on my system at 2.5-3-3-7 up to 281MHz. Although that would've been more than enough for most people, I wanted to get the most out of my rig and the Corsair just couldn't give me that. With the Corsair, the highest overclock I could achieve while maintaining 1T timing was 289x9.5 @ 2.5-4-4-8 on my Athlon 64 3200+. Using the G.Skill, I can now obtain 295x9.5 with even lower timings @ 2.5-3-3-6 for a total of 2.8GHz (that's an 800MHz increase from the stock speeds of the A64 3200+ 2.0GHz). This was all done on air cooling by the way. The G.Skill is able to boot at 300MHz and pass Memtest without any problems but for some odd reason my motherboard (MSI K8N Neo2 Plat.) has trouble running stable when I use anything over 299MHz..unless I did 300x7 (2.1GHz). Regardless, this problem does not have anything to do with the ram so I would highly recommend this G.Skill to anyone looking to do serious overclocking.
