5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap. Little more than 1/2 the price of next brand name ddr2-6400. Overclocks well.

Cons: On some motherboards/bios combos stock bios voltage not enough to boot this ram. Easy fix with a spare stick of ddr2 or simple volt mods.

Other Thoughts: Did not work with my p5b-deluxe original bios revision. So I had to apply a temporary volt-mod to 2.2 volts to get the ram to post. After updating to 0711 computer boots at ddr-900 with 2v. For those who don't want to mod you can borrow a ddr2 stick from someone else and update the bios to fix the issue.

5 out of 5 eggsWork for Asrock 775Dual-VSTA

Pros: No 2GB memory is cheaper than this one right now (10/10/2006). It is even cheaper than DDR memory. In 775 Dual-VSTA, it would run 4-4-4-12 at 533. Not particularly fast for this setting (since my MB does not support 800), but definitely 90% faster than running my old Kxxxton DDR333 memory under otherwise exactly the same conditions. I also checked the bench mark at anandtech website, and found my machine is faster than the one posted that run DDR2 533 or 667.

Cons: zip.

Other Thoughts: If you are running AMD CPU, or if you have Gigabyte DS3, please don't buy this one. I've seen a few unhappy posts.

5 out of 5 eggsworks at rated speeds in d975xbx

Pros: No issues running 4 gb worth in an intel d975xbx. I did have to go into the BIOS to set it to run at 800, but works like a charm once that has been done. Runnning at 1.9v.

Cons: Ran Vista Memory diagnostic, which reports no errors

Other Thoughts: If you'rr running an intel board with compatible voltage levels, why wouldn't you buy at this price?

Seriously, just not worth the hassle...

Other Thoughts: I got myself some cxxxair and have no problems!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine on Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi Core 2 Duo

Pros: Picked this memory up for a Core 2 Duo setup running E6300 Processor on Asus P5B deluxe WiFi. Never had any boot up issues. MoBo had original version Bios. Settings are on Auto in Bios and timings are coming up correctly.

Cons: None found so far with minimal Asus Ai overclock settings.

Other Thoughts: Not trying to OC my CPU. Memory works fine for what its rated at.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Operates on an ASUS P5W DH with a C2D E6600 at DDR2-800 5-5-5-15 as labeled.

Cons: Had to be manually clocked to DDR2-800 speed in BIOS. Chipset downclocked to DDR2-667 5-5-5-12 on initial boot.

Other Thoughts: In response to C2D compatibility, it could be that this memory isn't as compatible with ICH8 965 chipsets.

1 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with certain C2D setups

Pros: Low price

Cons: This RAM is incompatible with the Gigabyte DS3 motherboard. Don't buy if you are looking to use in ANY C2D motherboard. Your chances of booting successfully and having a stable system are slim!

Other Thoughts: Thank you NewEgg for the great customer service!

4 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: I had to return it since it is not supported by my MOBO. The ASUS M2NSLI series does not like G-Skill over DDR2 667. For DDR2, it requires specific brands. If your using a lower end board, this ram is probably fine

Cons: Voltage requirement is 2.0 not the 1.8 listed
