Pros: Excellent pricing for a 1GB (2@ 512)dual channel memory. Fast shipping, ordered on Friday 5/16 and received Tuesday 5/20.

Cons: I've thoughts of blazing fast booting machine after installing both but my computer posted only 512 in single channel mode instead of dual channel and upon close inspection I saw one tiny chip on the packaging and compared it with the other module and found that this is where it fell off. I will RMA this memory and see what happens after exchange. I will write another review when Newegg sends a replacement.

Other Thoughts: Package box is good but the plastic retainer inside is loose making the memory modules fall. With constant motion while in transit it may cause them to damage the modules. Need a better way to secure them.

Memory configurartor gave bad data

Pros: I can't say. The memory configurator was wrong; these sticks don't work in the Dell Dimension 4600C. Wrong kind.

Cons: They didn't work as advertised. Now I am stuck with them as the 30 day guarantee only extends to a replacement. The worst is, when I called customer service, they said that their own memory configurator doesn't always return the correct data. 's up widdat?

Other Thoughts: I also bought two sticks of 1GB, also from G-Skill, for my home-built machine running Ubuntu. Works fine.

I expect these sticks work fine... in the machines they're built for.

NewEgg needs to adjust the search returns on its memory configurator.
