Pwn the competition and frag your enemies with fast DDR3 1600 SDRAM at a price point that lets you upgrade on a budget. High-density G.Skill memory is exactly what you should give your system for the boost it needs to help reduce loading times and get you back into the fight faster.
You’ll also enjoy reduced data bottlenecks by taking advantage of dual channel technology on compatible motherboards. As an added bonus, G.Skill memory has been rigorously tested for compatibility with Intel Core i5 and i7 and P55 chipsets.
Heat management is important for any PC builder. G.Skill understands this, which is why each G.Skill DIMM comes with a stylish heatspreader, which dissipates heat by exposing it to cool air over a greater surface area and will look great in any case for your next LAN party. These DIMMs also operate at a versatile range of 1.5 – 1.8V for better internal temperatures and overclocking versatility. Upgrade your PC at an affordable price with G.Skill memory today!

Help for overclockers
- Pros: In response to the poster below with overclocking troubles (sorry to use this as a make-shift forum, but I really would rate this ram at 5 stars, multiple times anyway - I bought multiple sets!)
Anyway, if you have issues, just write G.SKILL customer service or read their forums and they can help you like they helped me. but here is what you do for the ASUS board:
In BIOS, set "AI OVERCLOCK TUNER" to "manual", even if the correct timings are set by auto. This gives you access to the "DRAM timing/driver config" menu. In that menu, set the timings like this:
FSB:DRAM: 1:4 CL: 9 clocks tRCD: 9 clocks tRP: 9 clocks tRAS: 24 clocks tRC: 40 clocks CR: 2T
Then set your northbridge voltage to around 1.4v (little more or little less is fine). Do the same for HT voltage, 1.4v.
Then set your DRAM voltage to around 1.6v, a little more is fine.
Set DRAM to 1600mhz
save BIOS and reboot
- Cons: none, as always...
- Other Thoughts: Download a free a program called "CPUZ" and run it to verify if you're running at 1600mhz and if all your clock speeds are correct, or just check it again in BIOS. Should work fine. Good luck and enjoy!

GREAT RAM IF ...
- Pros: good-looking IMHO; effective heatsinks, cool to the touch in normal operation; standard height (no problem with overhanging heatsinks); ample margins for MILD o.c.; booted up 8 GB in my Gigabyte board (MA790GPT-UD3H) first time, without bios mod; Memtest 86+ v. 4.00 loves these memories, even at 8-8-8-20 1600 timing, 1.5 Vmem, i.e. w/ mildly aggressive timings, no Vmem boost; good value if free ship, even w/out rebate.
- Cons: None found, provided your bios lets you mod mem internal timings, otherwise see below
- Other Thoughts: Default timings of these dimms in most mobos may NOT be the advertised 9-9-9-24 1600 (PC3 12800), they will likely be significantly slower (in order to guarantee operation in slower / marginal mobos.) So ... in order to achieve advertised performance you may need to mod the mem timings via your bios to std. 9-9-9-24 1600 mhz internal membus clocking or equivalent. BTW the above caution applies to most DDR3 and DDR2 dimms in most mobos. Also - be sure your cpu supports 2-channel (as opposed to 3-channel) DDR3 operation.

Excellent for AM3 GigaByte MB
- Pros: Memory worked right out of the package. Of course I follow a strick procedure everytime so I could isolate each SDRAM. USE A GROUND STRAP ON YOUR WRIST!
1. Install and test EACH SDRAM, one at a time. 2. After each checks out, then install 2, then add another until all are installed checking configuration after each install. 3. BIOS mem settings: Make sure you set to MANUAL at 1st bootup. I set mine to these and worked with Win7 on GigaByte MB immediately after setting speed to 1600 MHz FSB:DRAM: 1:4 CL: 9 clocks tRCD: 9 clocks tRP: 9 clocks tRAS: 24 clocks tRC: 30 clocks CR: 2T
Ran full load tests and Prime95 for 4 hours on each SDRAM, and then 24 hours straight on all 4 SDRAMS installed for 8 GB total on Win 7-64bit.
This memory is fast! There is faster G.SKILLS available, but for the money a couple of microseconds on the RAS rates is not that important. I run two VS compilers, stream video, and play games AT THE SAME TIME and still more memory available.

Good value
- Pros: Great price. Ordered 8GB total. All 4 sticks showed up working. Installed and ran on 1st try in GIGABYTE GA-770TA-UD3.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: I had to manually set to 1600mhz in the motherboard bios, but thats the MB and not the ram.
Unlucky! But it's RAM right?
- Pros: Love the color of the heatsinks~
Other RAM from G.Skill are great.
- Cons: RMA'ing these because my computer kept restarting right after I built it; I thought it was the PSU, motherboard, video card... had them all RMA'ed (thanks for helping Newegg~ you guys are the best) and turns out that the Eco Series G.Skill ram works perfectly.
- Other Thoughts: But then again, I should have probably checked the highest failure-rated part.
