5 out of 5 eggsits reliable

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model CMFUSB2.0-8GB

Pros: Rubber casing ,

Cons: I would recommend a leash attachment for the cap to be always connected to the drive.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for school and always worked for me what I needed it to do.
I like the rubber casing because wanted something that was rugged and able to keep clean.
It is, Many time between moving from class to class, I'd be rushing and Id just back-up my stuff on this drive and throw it in my back-pack . Then would have to fish it out from the bottom of my back-pack under my text books. The rubber cap helps to keep the dirt out. I light flasher is a nice touch to let you know when the files are transferred. The cap Id misplace and have to remember where I put it but always found it. I would recommend this drive.

5 out of 5 eggsVery fast and would purchase another

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model CMFUSB2.0-8GB

Pros: Blazing fast when i install a OS without the need of slow dvd drives with seek times always having to look for blank discs or ask friends for one.

I use this on my dads old dinosaur computer dell optiplex 320 since it wont let me add more than 2 gb of memory unless i remove the video card. Ready boost makes the computer feel more snappy for banking and watching videos before going to bed.

Cons: Its a very tight fit and very slow i would recommend buying a couple just for OS installations one for win 7,8,10, linux and put in storage when needed down the road.

1 out of 5 eggsThe product Suck!!

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model CMFUSB2.0-8GB

Pros: The thumb drive is the worst ever. I have had two. I had the 2.0 and the 3.0. This product is not reliable; I will not advise anyone to buy this product. After a year or less than a year, it does not work. You cannot access your data on any computer.
Good thing I backup my data on my external HD.

Cons: Close to a year, you will not be able to access your data. This is a very very bad product! I will never ever advise anyone to buy this it.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as tough as it looks

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model CMFUSB2.0-8GB

Pros: - it's been reliable to this point
- 8GB is a good size for most needs
- never had any data issues

Cons: I have to bend the metal USB connector back into place all the time. I thought the thick rubber cap on the metal connector would keep it safe, but it doesn't, at least not in my experience. So far this has not effected the performance of the drive at all, but I could see the thin metal getting worn out from being bent back into place.

5 out of 5 eggsIndestructable?

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model CMFUSB2.0-8GB

Pros: I lost my Voyager sometime last year. Winters are rough in New York, and this one was worse than usual. Here it is, early April, and the snow is finally melting. Lo and behold, there's my Voyager, stuck in the mud next to my garage. It had been sitting there for 4 months, buried in the snow. I cleaned it up, plugged it in, and all my files were still there.

Cons: Probably wouldn't survive a thermonuclear war.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little flash drive

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model CMFUSB2.0-8GB

Pros: I have my unraid server installed on this drive. Nice rubber coating on it. I dropped it once and it just bounced around a bit.

Cons: none
