My first external and Newegg......
- Pros: First off, let me start by saying that I am deeply impressed by Neweggg. Not only did it arrive on time, but it was also a great deal. I looked up some of the other prices for this particular item and most of them were OUTRAGEOUS! Even when some stores had them on sale, Newegg managed to beat them by at least ten dollars
- Cons: 1) Western Digital is some what expensive
2) This external turns on/off with your computer
3) The lives on these thing are unpredictable
4) You only get about 92% of the overall memory
- Other Thoughts: So far, I've only had my external for about 3 days now, but with proper care I hope that it will out live the warranty buy at least 2 years. Other than that I wish I would have gotten the 500GB one!
Good Buy!
- Pros: Great compact size, won't take up a lot of room in a SOHO environment. Stackable. QUIET! Doesn't get very warm. Great storage capacity.
- Cons: A tad on the slow side. I use mine for music and movie storage and it can sometimes take a little bit of time for items to load.
- Other Thoughts: Very relable sturdy external drive so far. Use it daily and extensively. So far it hasn't crashed. Good sign, though WD has a lot of good products. Worth the money!
Super Easy Setup
- Pros: Cost keeps coming down. Super-easy set up. Great for storing my media.
- Cons: not yet.
- Other Thoughts: Bought it to store movies and music for my media center pc. I couldn't be happier. It looks big in the pictures, but is really not that big.
