- Pros: this drive is formatted as mac OS extended journal is has esata, Firewire 400, and usb 2.0. Runs very well on a MAC
- Cons: all the negative feedback i have read on this page it would seem that people are either to lazy do there research and/or assume way to much. the only computer system that I have seen using firewire 800 is the mac pro. so if you dont have one then your running it at 400.
people complaining that there pc cant read this drive right, there is a reason its for a mac and formatted for a mac. if you want to be able to see it you will need some sort of mac conversion software (which there are a few out there)
- Other Thoughts: If you have only a PC this is not the drive for you look else where. If you own both a mac and a pc then your pc will need some mac conversion software to be able to take full advantage of being able to use this drive on both you mac and pc. DO NOT try to hook up both comps at the same time.
Great so Far
- Pros: Bought to use with my new Macbook Pro and have had zero problems so far but have not used it for much yet.

Great drive
- Pros: I connected this drive with firewire 800 and it worked right away on my Mackbook Pro. I started transfering files right away.
I transfered about 33 gigs in about 15 minutes. This is my first experience with Firewire 800. Super fast! I can only imagine what eSATA would be like. Its also really quiet.
- Cons: Not much. When the computer is off, the drives light flashes every 5 sec.
- Other Thoughts: I was kinda disappointed with neweggs shipping. The drive was snug inside the manufactuers box, but newegg just through it in a big box, and stuffed some paper in it. Also, the tape job to seal the box was weak.
