Newegg the best
- Pros: First off Newegg is GREAT!! Fast service and great vary of products.
Western Digital make great hards. No Problems so far.
- Cons: NONE
- Pros: -8MB Cache.
-Cool and Quiet technology does a great job.
-Inexpensive for size, function, and quality.
-Read, Write, and Seek speeds are on par with all other drives.
- Cons: None really, its a good quality hard drive.
- Other Thoughts: A great addition to any system.
OEM is a great way to go to save a few extra bucks. The drives are identical to retail versions with the exception that they don't come packaged in a retail box. These drives are sold in bulk to build computers. Great way to go for upgrades.
Lasted a little over a month
- Pros: Cheap.
- Cons: Drive failed without warning after only 1.5 months. Drive made loud clicks and no longer detected in the bios.
- Other Thoughts: This is not the first Caviar drive that has died on me. It is very unlikely I will ever buy another Western Digital drive.
