- Pros: After a year of using this drive every day, I can not say enough good things about it. It does exactly what it is supposed to do without any whining or groaning. Very cool to the touch. The extra USB port is great for connecting to a burner if you need to. I paid more for mine so this price makes this an even better deal.
- Cons: None.
Good drive
- Pros: It's fast and silent and runs cool!
- Cons: It's annoying that the drive shuts off on it's own if nothing is transferring to the drive, however when it's time to you have to wait until it spins up.
- Other Thoughts: Not a bad price for what you get.
A good external hard drive
- Pros: I actually have the 250GB, but I don't see that on the site, so I'm reviewing the 160GB with the provision that my drive has 90 more GB. That said, the drive is nice, looks terrific, it worked right away without any installation needed. I haven't used the backup software because I use it to hold backups of multiple computer images, so I can't comment on that. It runs quiet, almost too quiet. I don't use the backup buttons either, can't comment.
- Cons: When you press the power button, the drive turns on. So far, so good. When you press the now-illuminated button again, it blinks a few times, which is sort of fun to look at. If you want to turn the drive off, you must hold down the power button for four seconds. Just a small peeve.
- Other Thoughts: A good purchase, I'd buy another and probably will. I give it a four instead of a five simply because some advertised features don't work. Functionally, it's solid as anything where it matters, which is data storage.
