Seems to work reliably. Cons: OEM version comes without any documentation & the drive itself doesn't have an info on it about jumper settings. It took me about an hour and a half including formatting time. Cons: None that I could find. Other Thoughts: Most of you would probably think of this, but I forgot to pick up an installation kit as this is an OEM product. I installed this drive in a linux system where the previous drive was running very slowly. Frankly, if it was a windows system, I probably would have heard the death drive sounds. Although the motherboard ide is only ata100 and the drive is ata133, the reinstall of linux was flawless. Speed is impressive. My file server slowly died in the last 2 weeks because of that HD. At first my system locked up randomly or performed very poorly (huge interrupt latency every 10 sec).
