Great little drive
- Pros: Fast little drive, brought a 3 year old laptop back to life!
- Cons: A little bit pricey, but worth it.
- Other Thoughts: When the drive went out on my sister's laptop, Dell sent me a replacement drive but it was another 4200rpm 40gb drive. Dropped this 7200rpm 100gb drive in and the laptop is now incredibly fast.
- Pros: WOW! Absolutly shocked at the change in my laptop! 3DMark06 score changed 18%. Upgraded from 3600 RPM, 40GB, toshiba drive. Runs way, way, way quiter than the last hard drive.
- Cons: It's much warmer on the lap, but I guess that was expected.
- Other Thoughts: Between a 7200 RPM drive, and Gig of memory, you may be able to save your laptop from the garbage. These were much cheaper than buying a new one.
Works great with 15" PowerBook G4
- Pros: Noticeable performance boost over the OEM 5400 RPM drive. Quiet.
- Cons: None. So far so good.
- Other Thoughts: If you're looking to replace your hard drive in your PowerBook G4 this is a pretty good bet.
