This model sure isn't being made in Japan

Pros: There USED to be plenty good to tell about.
Cons: What happened to Hitachi? - they are a prime manufacturer of electronics parts - (or maybe they were???) - all their stuff was made with their own components, which WERE really high quality. - Now, we're seeing a LOT of failures in practically no time at all. (ESPECIALLY on this model)
Warranty service issues online RMA's then recieve parts and sit on them. - they've got one now that they recieved 10/01 - no word since, no action, nada.
Other Thoughts: I'm glad I don't have stock in this company.

Newegg - doesn't this company make any other models of 1 Tb drives?

Pros: Worked well for awhile.
Cons: Gave me the click of death after about 3 weeks of use. i had some HUGE files on this drive that i have to redownload now. Thanks Hitachi!
