Pros: Seagate's excellent quality, five year warranty, and quiet operation.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I've owned two of these drives for just about 4 years. I've used them in several configurations, and every time I've moved them to a new system, each has worked perfectly with no problems whatsoever. As always, they're virtually silent.

Pros: very quiet, NO clicking sound at all, unlike other brands of drives, very reliable. Plus, love th 5 yr warranty.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I have 3 of the exact same drive. One system, one to backup important data, and one to backup the system drive. The one that I use to backup the system, once backed up, I unplug it. The oldest drive that I have is about 3 yrs, and it's the system drive. I have used other brands of drives (no names mentioned, that have went out on me on numerous occasions). I'm, sticking with Seagate. Just DO NOT use Seagate's DiskWizard Starter Edition software (the version as of around March 25-2006) to format a drive for XP, because it WILL put Disk Manager on head 0 of the drive for the MBR (Master Boot Record), and if you have software (e.g. back up software like PowerQuest Drive Image/ Norton Ghost) that cannot run because of Disk Manager, there is really NO way of getting rid of Disk Manager within the MBR, except to use the same Seagate's software, but use the Utilities, Zero Drive Fill (Quick) feature to clear out the first 63 sectors of the drive, then format with Windows own format feature.

Pros: What can I say. Rock solid drive. More stable then my OS. 8-)
Actually have two that I've reformated so many times in my tinkering around that I'm suprised the MBR isn't toasted. But there still running.
