5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price for a 200Gb hard drive.

Cons: When I installed made a very loud scratching noise.

Other Thoughts: I called newegg to get a RMA to have this replaced by the same Hard Drive. I was on the phone for about 45 seconds and already had all my information. Great Job New Egg

4 out of 5 eggsIts Good Enough !!!

Pros: Fragmentation is futile on this harddrvie ive tossed over billions of files on this hard

drvie and its seems to keep them organized on the disk its a great storage drive i do have

xp loaded on the drive and it does read small files very fast so windows loads in seconds

large files have a steady decrease in speed probably why it takes ten years to load a game

as far as noise goes its a lot quieter than my Rx1800xt lol it does get hot but ive felt

hotter just keep a fan on it .

Cons: I am currently using it as sata 1.5 aka "ultra dma 6" do to my mother board not supporting

3.gb well theroritcly your suppose to get 150 mb a sec with it set to 1.5 but in actuality

you only get about 70 mb tops lol and that's when transfer is bursting there is a steady

decrease in transfer rate with a constant acsess of large files lowest rate droped to around

30 mbs... when your accsesing the say de fragmenting it the transfer rate drops to around 5

mbs so your best choice would be to page file on a separate hard drive funniest thing my WD

gets 56mbs but thats the steady rate burst or no burst but fragmentation was huge on it.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful So Far!

Pros: Work very well so far. No issues and they are very quiet. I bought 2 of them. 400gb is NICE! (of course windows doesn't recognize it all unless I do some modification to some files, but I don't see the need.)

Cons: Not too much faster than my other Barracuda @ 7200rpm/ATA100/80gb/2mb Cache. I think I have to set it up on RAID?

Other Thoughts: I hope mine don't fail.. Many reviews I have read on this and other seagates haven't been too good as far as DOA and things.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Installed and worked perfectly. High performance increase once setting up SATA RAID 0 with another drive.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Seems like a solid drive, more quiet than the rest of my computer. Dont even notice its there.

4 out of 5 eggsSeagate SATA 3.0 200gb

Pros: First SATA 3.0 drives that I've had... I use a LOT of Seagate Barracuda drives of various types with great success... I did have to RMA this one but it was replaced quickly and my only expense was shipping back the defective drive... That's why I buy from Newegg....

Cons: None.... good stuff!
