2 USB ports?
- Pros: It's portable and 160 gigs.
- Cons: 2 usb ports are taken up w. the cable. I tried just using a standard 1 port cable (from a 160g western digital passbook) and get write errors like crazy.
With the supplied 2 usb port cable it seems to work fine w. transfers of 15-16 MB/s (9g transfer)
Of course the WD one transfers at the same speed is the same size and only takes up 1 usb port
- Other Thoughts: Get the Western Digital Passbook unless you want an extra usb slot taken up.
Great Portable Drive
- Pros: Works great. Nice size drive in a small portable form. Good transfer speeds. 2 USB connectors eliminate the need for an additional power cord.
- Cons: Some may not appreciate the Ceedo software preloaded on the drive.
- Other Thoughts: Great drive for those of us constantly on the go. This drive comes with me everywhere I go.

Compact. Note the two-prong USB cable.
- Pros: - Compact. Fits nicely into a small pocket in your backpack.
- Cons: - USB 2.0 cable connects to two USB ports.
- Other Thoughts: I've owned this drive for almost a year now and use it everywhere. The included USB cable has two connectors on one end (one is for 'data' and the other is for 'power'). 99% of the time, I've plugged this in with only the 'data' connection - most computers I've plugged into provide sufficient power with just one port (laptops, PCs, Macs, UBS ports on monitors). Only a few times would I plug in one connector and hear a clicking noise from the drive (insufficient power). Plugging the cable to 2 USB ports fixes this.
Works between my Mac (running 10.4 Tiger) and PC (XP Pro at work and Vista Home Premium at home) just fine when formatted with the FAT file system. It was already formatted as FAT as a factory default.
I can't say anything about the included software. I deleted it as soon as I got the drive.
Good Drive
- Pros: Good drive, works great
- Cons: None.
Was impressed until...
- Pros: Small, quick transfer. I liked the two USB ports for connection as opposed to a USB and wall because I travel often and using multiple adapters doesn't work- just having one for my computer and then my computer being self-sufficient is perfect.
- Cons: Ceedo is awful. Within the first few days, the program completely died, but it won't let me uninstall or reinstall or fix it in anyway.
Also, and the reason for the poor rating--- I just arrived in London and got my drive out of my bag (which I had been carrying and wasn't thrown around or mistreated) and the port is unattached from the rest of the drive, leaving it completely useless. I don't know if you can have that replaced, but it seems like simply the result of poor manufacturing.
