Pros: With any hard drive the more capacity more apt you may have difficulty but i got to say that iv not had one issue with it seance my purchase. I may be cheep but not careless with my reviews and my music is really really in-portent to me.
Cons: At this point haven't found any cons believe me im keeping a close eye ! Other then the cord isn't long enough for me.
Other Thoughts: The only comment iv got newegg has taken care of this customer more then once even though im a hard one to deal with! I was directed to places were i could get more information on some personal projects and it was explained to me in a way even this dummy can understand.

Rating: 5/5Works faster than what it replaced.
Pros: Large capacity, fast enough for a USB2 backup drive, small enough to be used to backup pictures while on long trips.
Cons: None so far. This drive replaces a 160 Gig Iomega similar drive. That drive still works perfectly after several years, so I don't expect any problems with this one.
Other Thoughts: I travel to photograph, and need enough HD storage to have images backed up in 2 places. This drive will be my second HD backup and will hopefully hold up to a months worth of shooting without having to delete culls before coming home. Thanks to Neweqq, this drive arrived free the day after it was ordered - - nice touch!

Rating: 4/51st hard drive and it's good so far
Pros: It works and hasn't died on me yet. Great price and shipping was a day early =)
Cons: Nothing really except the plastic case does make it feel somewhat fragile.

Rating: 4/5Good deal - Happy with it.
Pros: Power Adapter, Ease of use and performance. I bought this for backup of my data, it always connected to my desktop and never had any issues.
Cons: Weight - I know its not a compact hard disk so I expected this.
Other Thoughts: LED indicator is dim, better if the indicator LED has red green other than flashing blue when accessing or constant when connected.

Rating: 5/5A Great Deal
Pros: I bought two of these, and I'm very happy with them. They worked fine right out of the box. I copied 46GB to one of them in about 30 minutes, so their performance is pretty good for a USB 2.0 interface. For the price, you can't beat these.
Cons: The activity LED should be on the front of the drive instead of the back.
Other Thoughts: I'm planning to buy a couple more.

Rating: 5/5Nice multipurpose external drive
Pros: Right off the bat, it's been great. Powered right up and doesn't get more than lukewarm after hours of running. I formatted it with Bitlocker security in a few hours (it takes that long for any decent sized drive....) I'm running a 155 GB system image backup currently and it is progressing at a very reasonable pace. I haven't tried file writes/reads yet but I do not expect it to be any slower than some of my internal drives. The power cable is more than long enough and the USB cable is rather short. This also prevents data fouling from RF interference, etc if you think about it. There is no core filter but I may add one just for peace of mind.
Cons: It never stops unless you unplug it. It would be nice to have a switch or something. The power adapter makes an annoying buzz if you leave it plugged into the socket and not the drive (it's "green") which is annoying but good in some way I suppose. Packaging was very minimal but the drive was suspended in foam blocks. The power adapter was allowed to rattle all around but it still worked fine.
Other Thoughts: There is no utility, which I believe it would make sense to have one for some external drives. It might include something like a turnoff timeout and security options? I wish. Not really a con but I think a good idea for simplifying advanced operations.

Pros: Nice cheap cool running drive. Also who is the idiot who posted I would never buy a drive with a 1 year warranty, do us a favor and jump off a bridge you don't even own this unit. Also to the genius who only gets 1.2 MB-Sec xfer you do know what usb 1.0 and 2.0 are correct, What computer are you using sounds like and old Packard Bell 486 DX2.
Cons: None

Rating: 5/5Good External Drive
Pros: 1 TB of storage Fast (read other thoughts) Relatively cool, it doesn't heat up much. and I've been transferring files for a while now... Black to match the overall color scheme of my desktop
Cons: Short power adapter...
Other Thoughts: I'm in love with this external HDD... It's great, and I bought it at a cheap price! I didn't buy it here, I bought it at an unnamed electronics store, which newegg won't let me post, for about $15 cheaper because it was on sale (sale ended today)
Now imo this is a fast external HDD because I get between 16 mb/s to 30ish mb/s depending if its a 6gb file or a 6gb folder with lots of files... I say that it's fast because it's a usb 2.0 external HDD... I knew that when I bought it, so I didn't expect super fast transfer rates... This is a great HDD, if you know what you're buying...

Rating: 4/5Rectifying my previous review
Pros: Reasonable fast (~19mb/second). Huge data storage capability.
Cons: Plastic case seems fragile.
Other Thoughts: On my previous review I blasted this device as extremely slow. Well, what was extremely slow was the hard disk I was transferring data from. The hard disk was failing before my eyes and I didn't notice because I was paying too much attention to the Iomega drive performance. Talking about coincidences.
