- Pros: Excellent keyboard. Does what it's supposed to and the keys are soft and silent.
- Cons: None so far.
Not the best
- Pros: The extra buttons are neat. With Microsoft Intellitype you can program them to open applications, internet sites, or local directories. Volume up/down buttons are always nice to have, although it's redundant for me since I use a headset.
- Cons: The shape. It's bigger (wider and longer) than I wanted for my desk. The curvy design also drives me nuts because it takes up far more deskspace than is necessary (look at the picture: the extra 1-5 keys at the top and the curvature under the spacebar make this thing bigger than it appears). The extra snap-on thing for your wrists is completely useless and uncomfortable. The plastic stand-ups broke after a couple weeks, but it was probably my fault.
- Other Thoughts: The included mouse is great. The keyboard is alright. I'd suggest a different keyboard unless you're wild about this one's design. I bought a keyboard wrist-pad shortly after, but unfortunately because the bottom of this keyboard is curved and not straight it is impossible to get it into a decent position. The keyboard is comfortable to type with but I'd prefer a different one for gaming.
Back to basics.
- Pros: Does what it should, quite keys, solid scroll wheel and sleek look. The included wrist rest is definitely nice. I'm pretty sure I'm going to bind the little zoom scroll on the keyboard to something in game, just not sure yet. Nifty little thing.
- Cons: None whatsoever.
- Other Thoughts: I've got 4-5 Keyboards / Mice in my closet at the moment. Wireless and Wired. Logitech is trash and always fails on me after about a year. Rechargeable batteries are unreliable and only offer a mild quirk of use which doesn't make up for the low battery deaths in game. Wired is reliable and won't fail you. Simple Microsoft products are the way to go in the realm of input. After spending 200+ on others over the last year or two, I came back to this and I love it.
