1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: An excellent keyboard to actually use.

Cons: After barely more than a year the 'K', 'L', "/", Backspace, and a couple other keys spontaneously decided to die for no apparent reason.

Other Thoughts: Next time I'll buy Logitech, at least their support (or in Microsoft's case, lack of) doesn't blow.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Good feel! the keys are typical Microsoft which I like. The ergonomic split is just enough. The wrist pad is perfect and the material looks good. Great price!

Cons: Could do without the newbie buttons on top of it and shrink the size a tad, not really a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Perfect! buy it!

3 out of 5 eggsWorks Ok, Software a bit buggy

Pros: Good keyboard, THe price is good. Mouse is usable and the extra button comes in handy.

Cons: In Windows 7 64 bit, the keyboard software is not on teh CD but has to be downladed from Microsoft's site. THe software is a little buggy still and has crashed on me a couple of times now. This software crash only affects the specialized functions on the keyboard so it isn't a huge deal. Just annoying. Also, on the mouse, hitting the center click to open links in a new browser tab feels more resistive then it should. I have the push the wheel down hard before it responds. THe mouse wheel inexplicably doesn't scroll well in certain programs like Tweetdeck but works fine in others.

Other Thoughts: If you are running Windows 7 then do not bother with the CD. Just plug them in and download both the Mouse and keyboard software off of Microsoft's website.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Very nice keyboard, with a comfortable wrist-pad and has a very nice touch.

Cons: My girlfriend dripped toothpaste into the keyboard one night, and so I attempted to take it apart to clean the contacts (of course the toothpaste went between the contact sheets right at an elbow where all of them came together - any key pressed (not on the numpad) meant that 3 others were typed with it. I had some difficulty taking it apart, since I didn't realize that the spacebar had to be removed first as there are screws underneath it. With that knowledge it was easy to remove it, but still slightly difficult to put it back in after.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this for my girlfriend for a custom rig for christmas. She won't use anything but ergonomic, and this was a huge upgrade from her ancient Microsoft keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsKeyboard is great, mouse, not so much

Pros: Keyboard is great, I love the ergonomic design, and the detachable wrist rest thing is pretty nice.

Cons: The mouse needs to be on a mousepad for best use... was not the case for my microsoft intellimouse optical that I've had for 5+ years. This mouse was kind of a downgrade... but for the price it really can't be beat.

Other Thoughts: The included software is essential for all the keyboard extras... (zoom, favorites, etc.) but it does not work with windows 7. The installer did also bring you directly to the windows 7 drivers page for a quick download though, so it's not really a con.

3 out of 5 eggsShort lived

Pros: ergonomic, indeed reduces hand strain

Cons: Awkward "special" keys layout. Useless zoom control. Died ("H" started skipping presses to the point of being unusable) after two years of active use, need to buy another now. First keyboard I've used in over 20 years that actually failed.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's Great!

Pros: I really like this keyboard. I have purchased half a dozen or so of them now for our offices. Oldest one I have is around 3 years old it gets used every day. I had a worker suffering from back pain in between the shoulders. I got one of these for them and the pain went away after using it a couple of days. The combo mouse works good as well but its not as special as the keyboard.

Cons: Sweat on the leather rests can be hard to clean off after years of service.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again in an instant.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a nice keyboard. Comfortable and only took a couple hours to get use to. The mouse is large and easily useable. Both pluged in and worked without adding any software.

Cons: It had a plastic lip that increased the front of the keyboard and made it uncomfortable, but was easily removed.

The software that came with it didn't work on Windows 7 64-bit, but was easily found at microsoft.

The mouse, while nice, has the fourth button in an awkward position and I'm constantly clicking it by mistake. It doesn't work with games very well either. The scroll is free form and has no way to indicate how far you've scrolled. I've been unsuccessful in mapping the foruth key for games and the scroll just doesn't work. I've given up on the mouse and went back to my old one.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the keyboard is worth it alone. The mouse I consider like the extra parts you get with some hardware. I gave it a 4 egg just because of the mouse, otherwise it'd been 5.

The lettering on the keyboard are stickers. Never seen that before. I'm not sure how well it'll hold up in the long run. I get the feeling the keyboard will out last the lettering by years. But it's still to early to tell.
