The Wolf King Timber Wolf keyboard is designed specially for avid gamers, to provide optimum convenience and control during game play. The essential FPS keys required in games are conveniently placed in a circle to the left of the keyboard. The unique vertical space bar is built in such a way as to rest directly under your thumb, aiding instant reflex movements or actions. K-Lock lets you leave the "K" key engaged to facilitate communications during FPS games. This keyboard has 55 keys and controls specifically for use in FPS games, allowing you to play more effectively. It has 8 programmable hot keys, for easy access to common Internet application functions.

Its anti-splash design makes it resistant to coffee spills and soda stains, when you're still playing but none too coordinated in the real world. This keyboard connects to any unoccupied USB port on your computer system. This may just be an essential weapon for your gaming arsenal. Try it out!

Pros: It worked...
It looks nice...

Cons: After using to go set up my Bios 1 time; it stopped working.
It says on 4 different computers that the drivers are bad, and the plug n play doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: Wish it would work, contacted support, hoping for an email back.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW fans. This is a great one for World Of Warcraft!

Pros: Good key layout. Good sensitivity. High Quality.

Cons: No number pad.

Other Thoughts: If you play World Of Warcraft this keyboard is a must! The layout is perfect and it is very customizable. I have owned Zboards, Logitec Gaming Keyboards and Microsoft Sidewinder keyboards but none of them compare to the WolfKing!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks great, the keys are whisper quiet, very good for FPS and MMO gaming.

Cons: Some of the key placement on the pad seems a tad random, like the O and B keys being off to one side, and M H and N being beneath where your fingers usually are. And putting the zero key all the way on the left breaks from the usual layout.

Other Thoughts: I thought it would take me a while to get used to the new key setup, but by the second day I had everything figured out and didn't have any problems.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid keyboard

Pros: Solid construction, slick design, comfortable. This keyboard doesn't need drivers, patches, or scripts to perform well in Ubuntu 64-bit. It's pretty much a standard keyboard with a neat focus for gaming. I never use media keys, so the lack of them doesn't affect me, I start a playlist, load a game, and kill or be killed, no need to focus on what song I'm listening to since they are all good.

Cons: After a heavy amount of use, the keys have started to fade, but it gives it that "battle damage" look, which is kinda cool (some may complain about it). I'm not a big fan of the rubberized coating.

Other Thoughts: If you're a gamer and use linux (or use linux exclusively and game within wine, like myself), this is the kb to get. Plug it in and forget about it.

shuttle SX38P2-Pro, q9650, 8gb mushkin ddr2 800mhz ram, pny 9800GTX+, 24" Sceptre monitor, 250gb seagate barracuda, 1gb WD caviar gp, ubuntu 64-bit, wine 1.1.5, CoD4 & CS:S primarily, many more are played though.

3 out of 5 eggsAverage

Pros: Comfortable keyboard. Being a gamer myself, they did design this one for 1st person FPS very well.

Cons: The layout on the circle pad is a great idea, however the keys are in the wrong places which makes gaming unfomfortable. For example, I play Counter-Strike Source. Switching weapons is very uncomfortable because the numbers are above the direction keys. Very hard to reach. Secondly, there is NO volume control function on this keyboard. I can NOT adjust volume. Also no multimedia keys. No way to change songs, etc.. while gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsQuite useful for FPS players

Pros: The key layout is extremely useful for FPS games, as well as games such as World of Warcraft, where you need access to a handful of keys at once to perform well.
The rubberized coating on the black parts of the keyboard is comfortable
All of the keys and the keyboard in general feels very solidly constructed and I have no doubts about having any troubles with it for a long long time.

Cons: The previously mentioned rubberized coating can begin to peel a slight bit after some use. This may be partially my own fault however; there's a small crevice between the silver circular part and the black rubberized area, and it ends up collecting a bit of gunk after a while. I stuck a paperclip in to try and clean it up, and now there's a few small (half inch or so) pieces where the rubberized coating is beginning to peel. Again, that is likely my own fault for the way I was attempting to clean it. Even so, the plastic underneath is perfectly solid and shouldn't cause any huge problems if the coating were to completely peel off.

Other Thoughts: My only real complaint with the layout of any of the keys is that the alt key is in sort of a far away location compared to the other modifier keys on the keyboard, and that there are two ctrl keys next to each other. While it's nice in theory, many games do not recognize any difference between a bind to the left ctrl and right ctrl key, so putting alt where the grey ctrl key is might have been a better choice.

Overall, the keyboard has worked great so far. It took about a week of use to get used to it, and I'm still not completely 100% used to the positions of the 6-9 keys, but that's to be expected from using a regular layout keyboard for so long prior.

I'd definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone who plays shooters a lot, as it's just too well laid out to pass up. No more switching weapons with the mouse wheel because you can't reach the 6-0 keys on a regular keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsHands Down

Pros: Well hey, Ive owned many keyboards in my time and but just one other dedicated Keyboard. The Z-board with the dedicated gaming keyset. It finally gave up after almost 5 years and I decided to give this Timberwolf a try. It has been an easy adjustment for me due to the very similar arrangement on my previous. The keyboard side has everything I need as I am pretty old school about the internet and multimedia and havent ever used all those fancy button extras that come on the upscale keyboards now days anyway. What really excites me is the feel of the keysets... they are firm and quiet and feel very good to me. Online gaming here I come.... AGAIN!! One last thing I forgot. The keyboard does not require any software to run. Less overhead for my comp and less problems for me. Oh did I mention the price? Comparatively speaking this one is the winner.

Cons: What Cons??

Other Thoughts: Very Happy with this purchase obviously lol.

5 out of 5 eggsOwned for over 2 Years

Pros: Excellent Gaming Keyboard that beats everything Idealzon and Logitech have on the market.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Don't be fooled by the heavy advertising by Idealzon or Logitech or any other pretenders...this is THE Gaming Keyboard for serious Gamers.

5 out of 5 eggsWolfclaw

Pros: I used a standard kb, the z and now Wolf Claw. The Claw is by far the better choice for the avid gamer. I've put over 1400 hours into BF2 on this kb and love it.

Cons: Takes a while to get used to it but once you do it kicks but t!

Other Thoughts: There are a few differences noted below between my Wolf Claw and this one but the basics are the same and all good.
