Why should all the excellent space saving technology be used only with laptops' keyboards? Rosewill doesn't think so. They created the KR650 with all the space-saving features, but without skimping on all the functions of the big boys. The full 104-key qwerty keyboard features slim keys that not only lower its profile, but decrease response time.

The overall thickness of the keyboard has been reduced to a blade like thinness. Unforgotten, though, are 5 function keys that have become so necessary with today's systems. This is a sleek, elegant keyboard that will be a complement to any system.

  • newegg Ergonomic, Ultra Slim Keyboard The stylish ergonomic keyboard provides a natural resting position for your hands and wrists for the ultimate comfort. Blade thickness of only 14mm contributes to a beautiful profile.
  • newegg X-Structure Key Holder The Rosewill RK650 features X-Structure key holder with reduced typing noise and enhanced key stability for the ultimate comfort.
  • newegg Multimedia Hot Keys With the multimedia hot keys, control the volume, play back or pause music or videos at the touch of a button.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: USB, Cheap price.

Cons: Bought back in '06. The thing died on me about a year later. JUNK TRASH

Other Thoughts: Was OK while it lasted for a cheap piece of junk

3 out of 5 eggsSlim, sleek, cool...chintzy

Pros: Looks sharp and sleek with my brushed aluminum & black case. Works.

Cons: Keys are very plasticky feeling, keyboard itself is flimsy (center bows downward when using the top row of multimedia keys). Doesn't include PS2 adapter.

3 out of 5 eggsPAIN!

Pros: Very inexpensive, USB interface is compatible with Macs and newer computers that do not have a PS/2 interface. Looks nice, works fine.

Cons: AUGH! It is so uncomfortable to type on this thing! The keys are so close together, and they bend inward, like a laptop keyboard. Despite getting a great deal on it, I am going to buy a different keyboard to use full-time, and keep this around as a backup.

Other Thoughts: If you have small hands, it might work better for you. This could also be good if you need a full keyboard (with numpad) in a tight area.

3 out of 5 eggsIts ok...

Pros: Its a good price for a keyboard..
Not bad.. for 10 dollars

Cons: They tried to cram the keys all in one spot...I dont really like that..
The space bar is a bit small.. should make it 2inchs long at least... Thats about it other wise its pretty good.

5 out of 5 eggsrosewill rk650

Pros: Quiet! easy touch reduces stress on fingers. Compactness and configuration reduce reach, reducing stress on hands. Easy cleaning (keys pop off easily if nec.). Reasonable pricing.

Cons: The connecting wire has frayed on two of my keyboards. There is no wireless version available. High-use key letters have worn off (doesn't bother a touch-typist, but is difficult for others). Can't order online thru my fed govt employer due to security, so have to order myself and won't get reimbursed.

Other Thoughts: Could you shave down the frame sides even more, while keeping the keyboard itself the same size? LED illumination feature for nighttime?

5 out of 5 eggsAlmost flat

Pros: The keys have a very nice response to them and it is very easy to type on. I like the fact that it doesn't have all the extra multimedia keys. This just has five appropriate ones.

Cons: They could have gotten rid of the extra '\' key and either made the left control button or the space bar larger. The delete key is pretty far away (near the backspace). I got used to both of these things quickly.

Other Thoughts: It almost feels like you are typing on the desk. It's very slim. Rosewill has made a very sleek product.

5 out of 5 eggsonly one flaw

Pros: very stylish, quiet while your typing. everything a keyboard needs to do

Cons: the layout is different from a standard keyboard so get ready to adjust. and i can't seem to get the play/pause or stop buttons t work in winamp

Other Thoughts: other than the button issue it's a perfect keyboard

5 out of 5 eggsQuality low-profile keyboard

Pros: Great value, easy to type on, looks great with the rest of my black/silver electronics. No problems with sticky/unresponsive/broken keys

Cons: I didn't find this sooner, and wasted my time for years with a silly wireless keyboard for no good reason.

Other Thoughts: This isn't a fancy keyboard, but it works great. If you can handle the start menu and don't need a special button for each application, you'll do fine with this keyboard.

The layout on this keyboard is different from most, but that can be said of nearly all keyboards nowadays. It's getting hard to find a keyboard that doesn't require a little getting used to.

If you type a lot, do yourself a favor and get a slim (notebook-style) keyboard. If you have a laptop, this really eases the transition between computers.
